Hong Kong Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Peaceful Appeal Protesting the Extension of Jiang's Tyranny through Legislation (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners report on October 1, 2002: On October 1, 2002, outside the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, site of the official Chinese National Day celebration, nearly 200 Hong Kong Falun Gong practitioners held a three and a half-hour peaceful appeal to protest the Jiang's regime's intimidating the Hong Kong administration to make pass "anti-subversion" legislation, which would extend the Mainland's human rights violations, suppression of Falun Gong and other peaceful organizations to Hong Kong.

During the activity, it was cloudy and rainy. Practitioners' hair and clothes were soaked, but none of these hardships could prevent practitioners from peacefully appealing and clarifying the facts. The peaceful appeal started at 3 pm. While practitioners practiced the exercise and sent forth righteous thoughts together, 2 practitioners read the opening statements in Chinese and English. The rain stopped before the activity concluded. Practitioners sang together the songs "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Coming for You," which were composed by practitioners.

Several reporters came to conduct interviews.
