Teacher Has Given Me a Second Life

(Clearwisdom.net) All my life I have been pursuing things, and finally I was fortunate enough to have the predestined relationship to encounter Falun Dafa and to begin to walk the path of cultivation.

I became quite ill when I was 36-years old, and the illnesses lasted for nearly 10 years. The symptoms ranged from malfunction of the central nervous system, holes in my stomach tissues, stomach infection, gall bladder infection, arthritis, numbness of half the body, etc. I was constantly catching colds. Medication and injections did not have any effect. I tried other means of healing as well, such as Qigong, massage, acupuncture, and visiting temples, but none of these had any effect. Sometimes I hid at home crying: "Heaven, I am such a nice person. I never harm or hurt others. Why do I suffer from these diseases? Why can't they be cured?" In order to not let my family worry, I pretended to be optimistic. But the real pain and sadness could not be removed. I used to lease a food shop, and the money I earned was all spent on medication. One day I went to the hospital for an intravenous infusion. A doctor asked me: "Do you practice Falun Gong?" I asked: "What is Falun Gong? I've never heard of it before." He said: "Practicing Falun Gong not only strengthens your body, but also brings people up to higher levels." He said: "I will lend you the book!" I looked at the book, and saw our compassionate Teacher. The book was easy to read, so I then took up the practice.

Just after I began practicing the exercises, studying the book and listening to tapes of Teacher's lectures, the following sentences touched me:

"If you hold various attachments and come to gain supernormal abilities, have illnesses cured, listen to some theories, or come with some ill intentions, that will not work at all." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture One "Genuinely Guiding People Towards High Levels")

"I do not talk about healing illness here, and neither will we heal illness. As a genuine practitioner, however, you cannot practice cultivation with an ill body. I will purify your body. The body purification will be done only for those who come to truly learn the practice and the Fa." (Zhuan Falun, Lecture One "Genuinely Guiding People Towards High Levels")

One day on my way home I ran into my older brother, I said: "I listened to Teacher's lecture. It is really good." Before I even finished, I suddenly threw up a vile tasting liquid. It smelled like "modern" medicine. I continued to say: "Tomorrow you should go to listen. What Master teaches is to elevate people to higher levels." My brother said that he would go. Since then he started to cultivate. The second day, what I spit out smelled like traditional Chinese medicine. My brother also smelled it. I followed what Teacher says, to practice and study every day. All my illnesses disappeared a long time ago.

Teacher gave me a second life. How can I stop saying that Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is indeed good. I will try my best to follow the Fa-rectification process. I hope all people with a predestined relationship will obtain Dafa.
