Dear Prime Minister,
Please find enclosed this correspondence package from Mr. John Zhang of the Falun
Dafa Association of Canada. Mr. Zhang wrote on behalf of 12 Canadian residents who have family
members suffering persecution in Chinese jails because they practice Falun Gong.
Prime Minister, as Mr. Zhang's letter and background material detail, these
Canadian residents have been helpless in their fight to have their family members released from the
Chinese prisons. While incarcerated, these people are subjected to heinous crimes against human
rights solely because of their faith.
Prime Minister, I urge you to issue a statement to condemn the persecution of
Falun Gong practitioners in China on behalf of the Ontarians who helplessly pray for their family
members suffering in Chinese prisons. I would also appreciate your responding to Mr. Zhang and
forwarding a copy of your letter to my office. Thanking you in advance for your time and
consideration.
