Six Practitioners Handed Heavy Sentences in Gaoxin District Court, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) In early March 2002, police from the Sanhao Street Police Station began to follow several Dafa practitioners who ran a Dafa material production site near the West Train Station in Tiexi District. The practitioners often went to Sanhao Street for equipment repairs and to buy supplies. Officers from the Sanhao Street Police Station and the Tiexi Police Station secretly followed them for three days before kidnapping them. Five practitioners were arrested at the material site. They were Jing Tian, Jing Cai, Jing Yu, Jin Dewei and Guan Yuling. Since Guan Yuling was nine months pregnant and her baby was due, the police sent her to the hospital to be detained there. Two days later, she was bailed out.

The police waited at the material site for more practitioners later that day. Practitioner Zhang Huiyu came to visit Jin Dewei and Guan Yuling (husband and wife) and was arrested on the spot. In the evening, Jin Dewei jumped down from the third floor window of the police station building in an attempt to escape from the detention place to care for his wife Guan Yuling. He broke a leg during the fall. After an operation, the police sent him to the prison hospital for detention. In late October 2002, Gaoxin District Court sentenced the six practitioners. Zhang Huiyu was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment and Jin Dewei 14 years. Jing Tian, Jing Cai, Jing Yu received 13, 12 and 11 years respectively. Guan Yuling received 8 years, with 2 years conditionally paroled. During the court hearing, Jing Tian and Jing Cai spoke out with their hearts, "Falun Dafa is Good! Falun Dafa is righteous!"

Currently Jin Dewei is disabled and physically very weak. One of his legs suffers from muscular atrophy. That did not prevent the court from giving him a harsh sentence.
