Over 200 Dafa Practitioners Suffer Brutal Torture in a Brainwashing Center in Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province

(Clearwisdom.net) The authorities in Jiaozhou City, Shandong Province, set up a private prison to illegally detain Falun Gong practitioners at the former Zhangjiatun Village of Zhangjiatun Town .

Liu Xuedong, supervisor of this prison, was also the assistant secretary for the Political and Judiciary Committee. This man often handcuffed Dafa practitioners to a tree and directed his subordinates to beat and verbally abuse practitioners. Another perpetrator is Yu Xiliang, who was the Secretary for the Political and Judiciary Committee. He repeated defamed Master Li in front of others.

Currently Wang Qiang, the Deputy Secretary of the "610 Office," is in charge of this prison. [The "610 Office" is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Part and all other political and judiciary systems]. He has personally beaten almost all of the Dafa practitioners who have been detained here.

Xue Yibin, the Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary, shocked practitioners with an electric baton, trying to force them to give up Falun Gong. He also covered practitioners' mouths and inserted lit cigarettes into their nostrils. His other methods included force-feeding practitioners with strong liquor, [Falun Gong practitioners do not drink alcohol] painting their faces with ink and covering their faces with foul-smelling shoes. Lu Tao and Zhang are two thugs hired by the "610 Office." Whenever a new Dafa practitioner was sent in, these two would first handcuff the practitioner and brutally beat him or her. They forced practitioners to stretch their arms and legs forward. Then they whipped the practitioners with an iron rod and insulted Teacher. Female Dafa practitioner Ji Xiuling's legs were seriously injured by their beatings. These two thugs also repeatedly interrogated the practitioners around the clock, denying them sleep. They would use needles and other tools to inflict pain whenever the practitioners dozed off.

Dafa practitioner Liu Ranggu was illegally detained for more than eight months. Both of his feet were infected and swollen, and the skin peeled off, layer by layer. Female Dafa practitioner Li Xia also suffered brutal tortures here. Since July 2000, more than 200 Dafa practitioners have suffered inhuman tortures at this place.

To deceive the public, the authorities called this brainwashing center as a "place for study." However, the doors of this "place for study" are locked. There is no freedom, not even to go to the restroom. For each meal, everyone got just one piece of steamed bread, one piece of pickle and one bowl of water, while the "boarding fee" is as high as 1,500 Yuan. [The average monthly income in urban areas of China is 500 Yuan, whereas in rural areas it is 200 Yuan] The practitioners' family members are prohibited to visit or send in any food. The officials often beat and tortured practitioners behind closed doors.
