Not Giving Up On Former Practitioners Who Went Astray

(Clearwisdom.Net) The following story was told by Dafa practitioners in a northeastern Chinese city:

One time, a practitioner gave up his cultivation after being brainwashed by Jiang's deceitful propaganda about Falun Dafa, and he openly turned against his fellow practitioners with hostility and hatred. When a practitioner heard about this, he went straight to the former practitioner's home, clarified the truth to him and his family, and encouraged him to begin his cultivation anew. The first time he went, he was reported to the police by this former practitioner and imprisoned for a few days. He wasn't discouraged by this however, and went back to the former practitioner after being released. Once again, upon arriving, he was reported to the police by this former practitioner and imprisoned for a second time. After being released, he went back to the former practitioner for the third time, but was arrested again.

Without discontentment or hatred, he continued to go back to clarify the truth to the former practitioner nine consecutive times. Every time he was arrested, he didn't give up hope and returned to the former practitioner upon being released.

Upon returning for the tenth visit, he went to see the former practitioner again. When he drew near, the former practitioner suddenly burst into tears and said, "Please don't say anything, I've understood it all." After this, the former practitioner began his cultivation in Dafa anew.

It is truly a great pity for a person to give up Dafa cultivation after obtaining Dafa in such a precious time period as this. Perhaps this story is not entirely accurate, and personally, I don't feel we should save those former practitioners who went astray in a manner such as this. But through this story, however, I was able to see how insignificant and negligible the frustrations I face are when saving sentient beings (who have been deceived by the propaganda). There have been so many examples of practitioners giving up their cultivation and then coming back after our Teacher's boundless benevolence gives them another opportunity. This boundless benevolence is well illustrated in the story above, so I wanted to share it with everyone.
