Guangdong Province: Zhanjiang City Court Illegally Sentences More Than Ten Dafa Practitioners to Heavy Prison Terms

(Clearwisdom.net) Zhuo Jiangshan is a Dafa practitioner from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. Because of his strong belief in Dafa and a visit to Beijing to appeal to the government, he was illegally arrested and detained for six months. After his release, Zhuo continued to clarify the truth to the public. He and his wife (also a practitioner), along with several other practitioners, were later forced to leave their home to avoid persecution. Their 11-year-old daughter has hardly seen her parents for a year. In early July 2002, tipped off by a collaborator, [a former practitioner who under intense pressure has turned against Dafa by helping the police] the police arrested Zhuo, his wife, and more than ten other practitioners. They destroyed several Dafa materials-producing centers. Three months later, in early October 2002, the court tried the practitioners in secret. It was reported that Zhuo Jiangshan was sentenced to 15 years in jail, and the other practitioners were also sentenced heavily. We sincerely hope that the international community will pay attention to this issue and help to secure these practitioners' release.
