By a Practitioner from Germany

When the evil head visited Germany, I found myself distracted. My body was there but my mind was not. At the crucial moments I either fell asleep or my mind went awry. Many precious opportunities to send forth righteous thoughts at close range dwindled away. Afterwards I was so ashamed of myself. I felt deeply that I did not fulfill my sacred responsibility as a Dafa disciple. My cultivated side was restrained by human notions and could not play the role at the crucial moments. Before the trip to the US, I reminded myself that I had to strengthen my righteous thoughts and put my mind and body together. My fellow practitioner also called me to remind me to always keep righteous thoughts. After talking to a family member who is not a practitioner and arranging for childcare, I embarked on the trip to US and Mexico with fellow practitioners' trust and expectation.

1. Walk every step with righteous thoughts

On October 21, when I arrived at the rally at the square located at the center of Chicago, the press conference was almost finished and the march was about to start. Accompanied by Pu Du and Ji Shi music and guided by police on horses, our march procession meandered among the skyscrapers. The contingents of marchers spanned many streets and one could not see the end of it. The pedestrians were deeply moved by the benevolent and magnificent scene and all were willing to accept the information practitioners passed out. I reminded myself to keep strong righteous thoughts all the time, because all the beings in the cosmos were watching our every step and word. We are Fa-rectification period Dafa disciples who shoulder the sacred responsibilities to save the sentient beings. I regrettably noticed that the cultivated side of some practitioners did not keep up. While marching some were eating or chatting. It looked like they did not know why they came. In fact, it looked like it was so uneventful in this dimension but in other dimensions, the fights between righteous and evil were rather fierce. Please do not think the march was simply to walk around, in fact it was very magnificent.

On the morning of October 22 we went to unfurl banners along the highways from the airport to city center. We arrived early so we just stayed in the car to send forth righteous thoughts. The car was locked and the driver was outside. The air became stale in the car. Neither the door nor the windows could be opened. I thought it was due to the childproof safety feature and yelled to the practitioners sitting in the front seat to open the door. Soon a practitioner realized that it was one form of interference from the evil to prevent us from sending forth righteous thoughts and studying the Fa. After a brief discussion, we reached a common understanding: we could not let the evil take advantage of our weak points at this critical moment, we must keep a clear mind and at any time and treat fellow practitioners with compassion and benevolence, because we are one body. Then we cleared our thoughts and studied Master Li's new article "Righteous Thoughts." When we continued to send forth righteous thoughts, the effect was very good. After we learned that Jiang left the airport, we sent forth righteous thoughts and unfurled Falun Dafa banners along the highway. At that moment I really felt I was a divine being soaring into the sky.

On the evening of October 22, we first sent forth righteous thoughts outside the hotel where Jiang stayed. Then we went to a hotel room to send forth righteous thoughts and study the Fa. Shortly after we started some practitioners began to fall asleep. The sleepiness seemed to be contagious. Soon one by one practitioners felt dizzy; some even fell asleep. Upon seeing this I was very worried. It was just a repeat of the interference in Germany, so I reminded practitioners not to fall to sleep. But it seemed to have no effect. I really wanted to tell my lessons learned from Germany but was afraid that I could not explain it clearly. In addition some practitioners said if they could not enlighten to it themselves, even though they were forced to get up, the effect of sending forth righteous thoughts wouldn't be good. I then gave up and thought I had tried my best. I went downstairs to join the overnight sending forth righteous thoughts.

After returning to Germany I talked to a practitioner about it. She said she had the same experience during her Iceland trip. Practitioners from the US woke up everyone and compassionately reminded us that after having spent so much time and money and overcoming so many difficulties to finally get into Iceland, our cultivated side had to wake up. She said afterward she was so thankful to US practitioners. Otherwise she would have slept the whole time. In comparison, I saw my selfish heart: I just wanted to protect myself and did not put the need of Dafa first. At the crucial time one more practitioner would contribute one more force to combat the evil. Apparently I did not truly put practitioners first and put Dafa first but was afraid that others could not understand. I did not have the thought of advancing collectively and did not truly treat fellow practitioners with compassion.

In Los Cabos, Mexico, there was a circle all the traffic had to pass on the way to the airport. Practitioners who arrived early had been there several days. On October 27, after overnight intense sending forth righteous thoughts, practitioners gathered around the circle. It was very hot during the day time, which was totally contrary to the weather in Crawford, Texas. We sent forth righteous thoughts intensively for the entire day. After the sunset, the temperature suddenly dropped, many practitioners did not bring thick clothing and were shivering in the cold wind. Some practitioners heard from the police that Jiang had left Mexico in the afternoon and thus slacked off a little bit. Some said we should leave. After these several days of intensive fights we were exhausted. I also hoped in my heart to call it off. Then several practitioners in charge discussed the situation and realized that it was just a rumor the evil spread. We should not be moved by the superficial things. It was decided that some practitioners get some rest and then replace other practitioners. I knew I should stay but it seemed my cultivated side was not strong enough and the human side always tried to turn up. When the bus came, quite a few practitioners tried to get on and the scene was quite chaotic.

Just then a practitioners read aloud Teacher's article "Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples": "A Dafa disciple who fails to achieve the effect of safeguarding and upholding Dafa has no way of reaching Consummation, because your cultivation is different from that of the past and the future." While she was reading tears rolled down her cheeks. Many of us also cried. We felt Teacher's colossal benevolence and expectation of us. "Dafa disciples are magnificent because you are here at the same time as the period of Master's Fa-rectification and are able to safeguard and uphold Dafa. If what you do is no longer worthy of a Dafa disciple, think about it, if under the greatest mercy since the beginning of heaven and earth and under Buddha's infinite grace you still can't do well, how could there be another chance? Cultivation and Fa-rectification are serious. Whether you are able to treasure this period of time is, in fact, a matter of whether you can be responsible to yourselves. This period of time will not last long, but it can forge the mighty virtue of magnificent Enlightened Beings, Buddhas, Daos, and Gods of different levels, and even Lords of different levels. It can also destroy overnight a cultivator who has reached a really high level but who has become less strict with himself. Disciples, be diligent! Everything that's the most magnificent and the most wonderful is developed in the process of your validating Dafa. Your vows will become testaments of your future." Many practitioners stayed and spent an unforgettable night together.

Jiang's motorcade left about 9 am. They did not dare to pass in front of Dafa disciples so they had to ask Mexican police to block the traffic, and took the route from the other side of the circle against the regular flow of traffic. We sent force righteous thoughts. At that moment my legs hurt so much. I asked Teacher's help and continued to send forth righteous thoughts until the motorcades left.

Since the day before some countries' motorcades had continuously passed in front of us, many countries' presidents and high-ranking officials witnessed peacefulness of Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners in the front row constantly waved to them. Many delegations also warmly responded. Some showed V shape with their finger to wish us victory. Some pointed at Jiang's name and expressed they "do not like him," "He is really bad." Some practitioners also saw President Bush waving at us. Mexican people's enthusiasms were especially encouraging. Young and old, they actively expressed their support. After Jiang left and the police withdrew, many of them came to ask for materials. They were so happy to receive Dafa information and souvenirs with Truth-Compassion-Tolerance written on them. I was so glad they had opportunity to know Falun Dafa.

I had to leave this place to catch my flight. Still some other practitioners would stay to clear the remaining evil field. I did not know how long they would stay but one thing I knew: no matter where Dafa disciples are, we will never forget to eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts and offer salvation to sentient beings. Because we are all a particle of Dafa, we are one body.
