Karmic Retribution: The Sudden Death of a Ruffian Hired to Beat Dafa Practitioners
Nov. 14, 2002
(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture,
the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable
for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun
Gong is the characteristic of the universe,
"Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are
in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and
murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds
will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles
such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to
those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong
are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be
held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of
wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
Twenty-three year old male Wang Kunchang lived in the Hougan village of
Changyi Taibao town in Weifang, Shandong province. He was hired by the corrupt
local officials to be a muscleman for the Changyi Taibao police station, and
directly participated in the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Almost
every Falun Gong practitioner in the police station suffered severe beatings
from him. He sometimes beat practitioners with a homemade, waxed pole, making no
exception even for young practitioners. One day he rode a bicycle over a young
practitioner's toe. The toe immediately became black and swollen. Wang took
pleasure in seeing the young practitioner suffer.
Falun Gong practitioners have tried many times, with great compassion and
tolerance, to persuade him to give up his evil ways and become good again, but
he continued his vicious behavior. While driving one day in early August 2002,
the vehicle Wang Kunchang drove suffered a head-on collision with another moving
vehicle. Wang Kunchang died on the scene, but everyone in the other vehicle
escaped without injury. Insiders say: this is indeed retribution!
