Brainwashing Center in Zhangbei, Hebei Province Kidnaps and Brutalizes Pregnant Practitioners Written by a Dafa practitioner in China Nov. 11, 2002
(Clearwisdom.net) In the brainwashing center in Zhangbei, Hebei Province,
every Dafa practitioner has a single room and is monitored by a person from the
"610 Office." Dafa practitioners are not allowed to see each other at all. The
"610" people follow and watch them even while they clean themselves, brush their
teeth, and go to the bathroom. In short, the practitioners have no freedom at
all. Two practitioners didn't cooperate with their cruel methods, and were
secretly sent to a brainwashing center in Zhangjiakou.
Two of the female practitioners that were kidnapped and taken to the
brainwashing center were pregnant. One of them was secretly sent to the Gaoyang
brainwashing center where she suffered all kinds of severe torture and abuse. She
was beaten so badly that her cervical vertebrae and lumbar vertebrae were
dislocated and she couldn't move. According to an examination by the doctors
from the Provincial Hospital of Hebei, she was afflicted with high position
paralysis, and there was no way to treat her. The Gaoyang Labor Camp instructed
her family to take her home. By the time her husband came to take her away, she
was only a single breath from death.
Well taken care of by her mother-in-law, she recovered marginally. The
vicious police then seized the opportunity when her husband wasn't home, and
carried her away in her bed sheets, back to the brainwashing center again. They
dragged her on the ground so carelessly that she suffered a massive hemorrhage.
They then took her to a hospital and tried to force her to have a C-section. The
doctor, however found three uterine tumors, and her life would be in danger if a
C-section was attempted. In light of this, they took her back to the
brainwashing center.
In detention she couldn't eat or sleep and was in an extremely deteriorated
mental condition. Under intense pressure from her and her family, the
authorities finally allowed her to go home. When she was still recovering, the
police harassed her at her home every other day, demanding that she have a
C-section. Finally, they sent her to the hospital by force again. The doctor saw
her serious situation and didn't dare to do the operation, so they let her go
home. However the cruel police still wouldn't give up. They illegally took away
the family's color TV and motorcycle, then they persisted, often going to her
home to try to force her to have the operation. This practitioner, who was
recovered marginally, had no other choice but to become destitute and homeless
in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home.
The other pregnant Dafa practitioner often had instances of intense vomiting.
After the police kidnapped her, she didn't drink any water for several days but
kept vomiting, and wasn't allowed to go home until she was on the verge of
death.
Another practitioner who had no source of income decided to go out of town to
find work. The malicious police suspected that she was going to Beijing to
appeal for Falun Dafa, so they kidnapped her and took her to a brainwashing
center as well.
The people in charge of the brainwashing classes would not even leave the
elderly practitioners alone. There was a practitioner in her 50's who was a
farmer. Her body was full of illnesses before she started practicing. The
illnesses all disappeared shortly after she started practicing Falun Dafa. The
Chinese police kidnapped her from her home and took her to the brainwashing
center without reason or warrant, beating and insulting her at whim. Zhao Chunli,
the Commissar Of the Public Safety Department, Sun Jianjun, Hou Jianping, the
Directors of "610 Office", and especially Yan Jie, the head of Zhangbei County
Propaganda Department, closed the curtains and locked the door to the room where she
was detained in order to intimidate, deceive, threaten and insult her at will.
The practitioner was kept for more than a month, causing her work at the farm
substantial delay, and incurring serious loss to the farm.
Another practitioner was a woman in her 60's. She went to her daughter's home
in Beijing before the police tried to arrest her for practicing Falun Dafa. When
they got to her home, they found the old woman wasn't there, so six or seven
people from the Public Security Department and the township drove a police
vehicle to Beijing and ordered her to return to her home in Zhangbei. These
miscreants deprived Dafa practitioners' rights of visiting relatives in such a
manner. As well, some practitioners were even highjacked by the police on the
way to their relatives' homes.
The latest arrest was led by Li Hai from the Public Safety Department. He
said that the families of whoever won't write the "Guarantee Statement" (a
statement that a practitioner will stop practicing Falun Dafa) will be torn
apart, and their members killed. Even now they are still persisting in their
persecution of Dafa practitioners. Yue Wanlin had congenital heart disease
before she started practicing Falun Gong. She was harassed by the Chinese police
to such an extent that she had no other choice but to become destitute and
homeless in fear of illegal arrest. Recently they kidnapped her from somewhere
out of town and incarcerated her in a detention center, where they are planning
to sentence her.
Since July 22, 1999, they have illegally sent numerous Dafa practitioners to
detention centers and labor camps. Every time they release someone from the
brainwashing center, they illegally demand a deposit of 4000 -- 6000 Yuan (500
Yuan is the average monthly income for an urban worker in China.).
This just in: They are secretly holding another meeting to plan more mass
arrests of Falun Dafa practitioners. We urgently call upon all Dafa
practitioners who read this article to send forth righteous thoughts to
eliminate the evil factors that control this matter in other dimensions.
