(Clearwisdom.net) Since the "Rescue Our Family Members Campaign" began, some Chinese-Canadians who do not practice Falun Gong have been contacting us. They hope that we can help to rescue their relatives who are being persecuted in China for practicing Falun Gong. Below is one of their cases:

Xue Shuanghong, the 31 year-old brother of a Canadian citizen named Ms. Xue, was a driver at the Number Two Bus Company based in Xiangfan City in Hubei Province. Since Jiang's persecution of Falun Gong began in July of 1999, Xue Shuanghong has been illegally arrested numerous times, and in February 2000 he was sentenced to 2 years in a forced labor camp. He was released around February 2002.

This year, Shiyan Public Security and the Number Two Bus Company Police suddenly broke into Xue Shuanghong's house. Without a warrant and without following any legal procedures, they searched his house and found some truth-clarifying flyers. The police beat him on the spot, handcuffed his bleeding arms behind his back and forcefully arrested him. Xue's mother witnessed the whole process and fainted. She was sent to hospital for emergency treatment.

There has been no news of Xue Shuanghong since he was illegally arrested. We do not know if he is still alive.

Canada Falun Gong practitioners and his relatives appeal to the Canadian Government to rescue Xue Shuanghong.
