A Wonderful Arrangement

(Clearwisdom.net) I was leaving Montreal so I needed to sublet my apartment. A friend of mine helped me post an advertisement on an Internet bulletin board. Soon after, I started getting phone calls about it.

One of the callers really confused me. For a long time, I could not figure out why he phoned me. I thought that since he responded to my ad, he would want to take a look at my apartment. However, he wanted to know if I could help him find software to input Chinese characters into the computer. I failed to make sense of the logic involved, but agreed that I would see if I could find one for him. He got me to tell him my street address but I did not tell him my apartment number, nor did I agree that he could come and see me for the software.

I was expecting someone the next morning at about 10:30 to see the apartment. So when someone buzzed me, I simply let him in. I also opened my door to greet my visitor, as most people go directly upstairs when trying to find my apartment -- but as a matter of fact, my apartment is located on the first floor at the back of the building.

A young man in his early 20's walked right to my door as I opened it. He was apparently eagerly looking for something. I asked him to come in and closed the door behind him. When we started talking, I realized that I had the wrong man--this was the person that was looking for the software!

I was kind of unhappy that he came in like this, but thought maybe he came in so that I could tell him the truth about Falun Gong. So I asked him to take a seat and put in the CD that analyzes the so-called "Tiananmen Immolation" incident. Not unexpectedly, the young man became uneasy. He asked me: "Do you practice Falun Gong?" Then repeatedly: "Sir, Sir, why are you doing this?" I got him to calm down then explained to him that the "self-immolation" was a pure lie devised to trick everyone into hating Falun Gong. I showed him the many signs of fabrication that prove the whole thing had been orchestrated to incriminate Falun Gong, such as the incorrect sitting position of the man who was trying to immolate himself. I also showed him the correct double lotus position. Finally through the discussion he eventually came to agree that the whole thing was an intentional setup, that it was fabricated and that Falun Gong was innocent, and injured by such lies.

I found the software for him after my explanation, and he thanked me, saying that he would bring it back when he was done. I was not really expecting it back as I was moving away; still I was happy that he got to know the truth about Falun Gong through my efforts. Just as he was about to leave, someone buzzed my apartment again--it was the people that actually came to see the apartment. They had something else to do so they were late.

I was amazed by the totally unusual way by which this young man got to know the truth. I was not expecting him at all, nor had I told him my apartment number. But he was able to come to see me at a time exactly when I was expecting someone else. He told me that he thought my apartment should be at the back of the building and that was why he walked straight to my door. The people I was waiting for "happened" to be late so that I would have time to tell this young man the facts. I later decided that somehow this person must have had a predestined relationship with me, so I needed to personally tell him the truth. Master Li arranged it to happen in such a way, so that although I never met him in the past and probably will not see him again in the future, I could still do for him what I was supposed to do.
