We are Falun Gong practitioners. Because we practice Falun Dafa and believe in "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance," we are detained in a forced labor camp by Jiang's regime. In this forced labor camp we suffer the most inhumane torture, abuse and extreme pressure. We have no way to appeal, so our only way of publishing our petition is to submit it to Clearwisdom.net. We hope that international courts can bring justice to those of us who are being tortured in labor camps in China everyday.

From the end of 2001 through the beginning of 2002, police have used the "tying ropes" torture on the practitioners. (The police tie up the practitioner with a thin rope, circle the rope around his neck, and tie his hands behind his back. Then the police would use all the force they could muster to tighten the rope. The rope becomes tighter and tighter around the body of the practitioner, and makes it more and more difficult for him to breathe. There are instances when the rope was tightened enough to break a practitioner's arm.) Although this torture is extraordinarily cruel, the police use it on everyone, from a 62-year-old to an 18-year-old girl. Some of the victims of this torture have lost consciousness on the spot. They end up with injuries all over their bodies. Quite often, afterwards they cannot walk and are unable to lift their arms. Dafa practitioners are forced to have "drills" after the torture. If they do not satisfy the police that they are doing the drill properly, they will be subjected to the torture again. The torture causes enormous pain and often injuries. On either side of them, the practitioners' tormenters lift their arms from time to time to cause even more pain. The police bind some practitioners' necks and ankles together, making practitioners unable to raise their heads and arms.

Cui Qiuju was tortured for three days and nights. He was severely injured from the beatings and later placed in solitary confinement. The police lied to outside inquirers, saying that Cui was sick, in order to cover up their crimes. They threaten practitioners by telling them that the authorities permit any torture means to be used on the practitioners.

Wang Guihua refused to do the required military drill and was tortured for four days and nights. His midsection was badly injured and the painful effects have lasted more than half a year. He has difficulty walking even now. Despite his condition, he still has to perform heavy labor each day.

Han Fulan was tortured for two days and nights. The rope was tied so tightly that it ripped her underwear. The rope around her shoulders was tied so tight that the skin was cut and bleeding. Because she would not compromise her beliefs, the police refused to release her. She fell unconscious for three days and nights. After three days she was carried back to her cell from the torture room while still unconscious. Because they feared that she would cry out when being tortured, they tied the ropes very tightly around her mouth. Her mouth swelled up so seriously that she had difficulty eating. Her whole body swelled up, and she could not take a bath for several months. Today there are two deep scars on her shoulders. They are evidence of the torture she endured.

Criminals convicted of drug abuse kicked Wang Aifang in the stomach until she lost consciousness. Then they used the "tying ropes" torture on her.

Ding Xiangqin also lost consciousness after torture. After word got out about this, the head of Team No.3 Jia Meili claimed that it never happened.

The cruelty of the police is unimaginable. In another attempt to torture Dafa practitioners, they held "drills" under the hot sun. The security guards use electric batons to forcefully beat them.

Practitioners are unable to raise their legs or their arms after being so severely tortured. Nevertheless, they are still forced to do "drills" and perform heavy labor. They work over ten hours each day. Han Shuangfen suffered the "tying ropes" torture because he refused to sing a song that slanders Dafa. Practitioners whose terms have ended cannot leave. They get additional unlawful prison terms and are pressured to write "guarantee letters" to give up Falun Dafa.

The labor camp plays songs that attack Dafa every day. When the practitioners in Team No. 2 tried to resist the persecution and refused to answer roll call or to work, they were tortured. Their cries of pain could be heard throughout the night. Practitioners in Team No. 4 started a hunger strike to protest and were force-fed.

The washroom is kept locked and only opened for half an hour. Two hundred people have to share the washroom that has only seven toilets. When it is time to close the door, even if someone has not finished, the police force him or her to go back to work. Every visiting day, the police force family members to sign a paper attacking Falun Dafa. If they don't sign, they are not allowed to see their relatives. They use this method whenever family members come to visit their loved ones.

The head of the political security office, Chen Lanying, is very cruel. She has beaten and injured many practitioners. She once broke a practitioner's leg using a wooden club.

The head of Team No.3 Jia Meili has used various ways to torture and brainwash practitioners. Several practitioners who were recently jailed were monitored by collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] and forbidden to have any contact with other practitioners. Jia had two criminals convicted of drug abuse watch one of the practitioners. The practitioner is only allowed to sleep after 2 a.m. and has to get up by 4 or 5 a.m. Criminals as well as the police have used various means to torture her. However, this practitioner's faith in Dafa remains rock-solid.

We hereby appeal to all kindhearted people in the world to help us stop this inhuman persecution.
