US Congresswoman: I Will Continue to Support Legislation in the Best Interest of Human Rights for All People
(Clearwisdom.net) October 15, 2002 Dear Friend: Thank you for your letter regarding H.Con.Res. 188,
expressing the sense of the Congress that the Government of the People's
Republic of China should stop its persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. H. Con. Res. 188 passed the House on July 24, 2002, by a
recorded voted of 420-0, with my full support. I am a cosponsor of H.Con.Res. 447, which expresses the sense
of Congress regarding the injustices brought upon Falun Gong in the United
States and the People's Republic of China. This legislation has been referred to
the House Committee on International Relations and the House committee on
Judiciary, where it awaits further action. I appreciate your concern regarding this issue and will
continue to support legislation in the best interest of human rights for all
people. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any other concerns or questions
you may have regarding this or other legislation pending before Congress. Sincerely, Julia Carson Member of Congress 10th
district, Indiana
