Elementary Teachers' Federation of Ontario Writes Prime Minister of Canada to Press the Government of China to Free Imprisoned Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net)

Dear Prime Minister:

I am writing to you on behalf of 65,000 elementary public school teachers in Ontario to ask that you and your government intervene wherever possible with the government of China to free imprisoned members of Falun Gong.

A number of Canadians have family members who are in prison or who have "disappeared". The reason for this treatment? They were practicing their faith. We are asking that you intervene on their behalf.

The actions of your government have been successful in the past. In at least three cases, Falun Gong practitioners were rescued after the Canadian government spoke up. We should continue to send a strong message to the President of China that religious persecution is not acceptable.

Please use every opportunity you have to press the government of China to release Falun Gong practitioners.

Sincerely

Emily Noble

President
