Falun Gong Practitioners Participate in Ukrainian Social Groups Expo (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 9, 2002, a regional expo of social organizations was held in Donets'k City, Ukraine. Falun Gong practitioners happily participated in the expo as a registered non-government organization.

In the city of Donets'k, snow covered the streets and dense fog enveloped the city. Outside the hall, banners, posters and photos clarifying the truth of Falun Gong were especially eye-catching.

We selected a booth in front of a large window and put truth-clarification posters there. We talked with representatives of our neighboring booth "Drug Addicts Recovery Center" and told them that some addicts were able to rid themselves of addiction after practicing Falun Gong.

A group of local youth ran towards us, which took us by surprise. One of them shouted, "How wonderful Falun Dafa is. How come we did not know about it before." They then cheerfully read our posters.

A young man asked us after viewing our posters and various truth clarification materials, "Which Chinese foundations or organizations support you?" He was moved after he learned that Falun Gong is persecuted in China and we spent our own money to prepare various truth clarification materials to call on people to help our fellow practitioners in China.

Some young people were glad to take Falun Gong truth-clarification VCD's. After we finished the exercise demonstration accompanied by the peaceful exercise music, many onlookers asked for exercise instruction videotape and wanted to learn the exercises. Many local government officials and media participated in the expo. A newspaper reporter made an appointment with us to have us introduce Falun Gong.

We would like to thank the expo organizers for providing us with the chance to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. Though the Chinese Embassy exerts pressure on the Ukrainian government, we believe that the democratic Ukraine will not tolerate the Jiang regime's antics.
