Persecution of Dafa Practitioners in the Jiang'an District Brainwashing Center in Wuhan City, Hubei Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Dafa practitioners are being severely persecuted in the Jiang'an District brainwashing center in Wuhan City, Hubei Province. The following is a detailed account exposing what has been taking place during the brainwashing sessions.

There is no individual freedom. The brainwashing center assigned three so-called "assistant deputies" to guard each Dafa practitioner, who must ask for permission even before going to the restroom. Dafa practitioners can only see each other during break times. Talking is strictly forbidden among practitioners, and all they can do to encourage each other is hold up both hands across their chests as a sign. Each day the evils copy anti-Falun Gong articles and force practitioners to read them. They also use high volume speakers to broadcast slanderous information against Teacher. They force practitioners to watch TV programs designed to deceive people by defaming Falun Gong. After viewing each program, Dafa practitioners are also coerced to give up Dafa and to write Repentance Statements that confirm they are giving up Dafa. The guards are furious if anyone utters the sentence, "Falun Dafa is good!" They curse practitioners at any time and without any reason.

Nine collaborators [former Falun Gong practitioners who have gone astray due to brainwashing and torture] were assigned to the city's brainwashing class since August 2002. The lawless officials locked up all Dafa practitioners into a small room, and forced them to go through the brainwashing sessions. There were slogans and pictures defaming Teacher and Dafa all over the room, even on the floor. They forced Dafa practitioners to curse Teacher, and to step on Teacher's name written on the floor. Day and night they would repeatedly play anti Falun Gong programs at maximum volume. They forced practitioners to watch VCDs that were designed with distorted and twisted contents, as well as information that was taken out of context. Practitioners were subjected to 24 hours of sleep deprivation and they were not allowed to bathe. They were also cuffed and suspended with their toes barely touching the floor until their feet and body became swollen. Sometimes they would hang practitioners over a fireplace. Many practitioners passed out and lost consciousness.

Some collaborators yelled at the practitioners, "Let's see if you are going to write the 'Separation Statement' now. We will make you so miserable that you won't want to live, and yet you cannot die easily either." Sometimes more than a dozen "assistant deputies" and collaborators would attack a single Dafa practitioner, saying that once practitioners entered into the brainwashing class, there would be no chance for them to get out without writing the "Separation Statements" of breaking away from Dafa. These evil people would hit the tabletop and chairs while screaming at practitioners. They would deliberately distort Teacher's statements and take them out of context. This is how the evil thugs are torturing Dafa practitioners both mentally and physically at the brainwashing center.
