(Clearwisdom.net) On November 24, 2002, the Second Ireland Falun Dafa Conference was successfully held in Dublin. Falun Gong practitioners from Ireland, England, France, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Austria and Hong Kong came to attend the conference. A series of activities including Fa-study, truth-clarification, and sending forth righteous thoughts were conduced before and after the Fa-conference.

One day prior to the Fa-conference, a press conference was carried out on the Central Bank Plaza. Mr. Zhao Ming, a student from Ireland, spoke of his experiences and called for the release of Liu Feng, who is currently being detained in China. Ms. Dai Dongxue, an Irish resident, talked about the plight of family members who are persecuted in China for practicing Falun Gong. Both speakers called on the Irish government and people to help rescue their family members. Afterwards, inspite of the heavy rain, practitioners held a peaceful parade in the Centre of Dublin. Accompanied by the music "Falun Dafa is good", practitioners performed a traditional Chinese dance during the parade. The beautiful Chinese traditional culture as well as practitioners' optimism moved Dublin citizens and the local Chinese students. When the parade passed by the Foreign Ministers Office, practitioners handed a letter of appeal to the Irish Foreign Minister, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D. At that point, a gigantic rainbow appeared in the sky and the rain stopped. Afterwards, practitioners demonstrated the 5 sets of Falun Gong exercises at the general post office in the Dublin Centre, where the parade ended. In the evening, practitioners held a group Fa-study and discussion at Trinity College.

On November 24, after the Fa-conference concluded, practitioners from different countries went to the Chinese Consulate in Dublin to send forth righteous thoughts and held a candle light vigil.

During the following 2 days after the Fa-conference, local practitioners and practitioners from other countries who stayed here held a 2-day Fa-study and discussions. They exchanged understandings and ideas about how to do the three most important things well: study the Fa well, clarify the truth, and send forth righteous thoughts, so that to do better in assisting Teacher to rectify the Fa.
