Guards at the brainwashing center in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei Province, cruelly
persecute Falun Gong practitioners. They subject practitioners to sleep deprivation, constant
bombardment of slanderous propaganda, not allowing them to use the bathroom, force-feeding with
alcohol (practitioners do not drink alcohol), verbal abuse, and brutal beatings.
- Recently, the brainwashing center refused to release practitioners as promised even after some
practitioners gave in to their demands. These practitioners were jailed for another 1-3 months to
complete a so-called "education reinforcement class." They would be tortured if they
didn't cooperate. The "textbooks" are full of lies defaming Falun Dafa and Teacher Li.
This "class" was recognized as a model for the rest of the country, and often
representatives from other cities would visit the brainwashing center to watch and learn. Kong
Fanyun and Yuan Shuqian are the primary people responsible for persecuting and torturing
practitioners. This August, the officials made videotapes of these classes and distributed them
throughout the country. We hope that practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate
the evil elements behind this farce and destroy the evil's arrangement.
- The brainwashing center has kidnapped many practitioners from nearby cities and counties
including Yuanshi, Xingle, Zhengding, Gaocheng, Hengshui, Xingtai, Yicheng, Gaoyi, etc. The
brainwashing center charges practitioners 8000 Yuan for a month-long session. [The monthly salary
for an average Chinese urban worker is about 500 Yuan.]
- In July 2002, the brainwashing center sent out a team to Tibet. Former practitioners turned
persecutors Yang Kailiang, Liu Lihui, and supervisor Liang of the brainwashing center formed this
team. In spite of their concentrated efforts, it was said that not one of the 300-400 practitioners
illegally jailed in Tibet gave up their cultivation.
We hope that practitioners will send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in
other dimensions controlling the brainwashing center, and help jailed practitioners to come out of
the evil den with righteous thoughts.
