Kathryn Bost is a citizen of Crawford Texas, the hometown of President Bush. In October 2002, she visited the Zhang Cuiying Painting Exhibition. She was deeply moved by the Falun Dafa practitioners' peaceful appeals while being brutally persecuted. Kathryn took with her material about Falun Dafa and introduced it to her friends.

On October 25, when she heard that Falun Gong practitioners all over the world were coming to Crawford to protest Jiang's persecution, Kathryn put on a T-Shirt with the words "Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance" given to her by a practitioner and came out into the cold to support the Falun Dafa practitioners.

Kathryn said while being interviewed, "I wish everyone in our town would be like Falun Gong (practitioners). They are so nice. (I'm) really happy that they came here."
