An open letter from China: Two incidents that happened recently in Panjin City moved people's hearts and made them deeply ponder. One was that a Falun Dafa practitioner stepped out of the evil's den where he had been imprisoned after he went on hunger strike for 120 days. The other case was that a Falun Dafa practitioner--an officer equivalent in rank to a regimental commander--was arrested because he wrote a sign that read, "Falun Dafa is good." Even the officers in charge of the interrogation found it inconceivable. The practitioner was ordered to write his thought about this. He said, "I have done nothing wrong. Before, I listened to what the Party said. I tried to cure my illnesses, but the hospital was not able to heal me. On the other hand, Falun Dafa has given me opportunities to heal my diseases. This is the truth. Only the real facts can prove who is damaging and who is benefiting the country and the people."

A letter to a middle-school teacher: During the period when I took the college entrance examination, I suffered from an insufficient supply of blood to my brain. I felt dizzy and tired. I took a number of medications, but none helped. I completely recovered after I started practicing Falun Gong. I was also able to put my glasses away for good as my eyesight went from very poor to normal. The International Educational Organization carefully investigated the videotape of "Tiananmen Square Self-Immolation" and made the following conclusion: "This was directed and staged by the Chinese (Jiang's) government. You will find numerous doubtful points." My dear teacher, I especially looked for you after not seeing you for so many years. I sincerely ask you and wish that you could tell your relatives and friends not to be deceived by the lies. Please accept the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, which will bring you a wonderful future.

I'm a Falun Gong practitioner from Changde City, Hunan Province. I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong in 2000, but was illegally arrested and 5000 Yuan [about 10 months salary for an average urban worker in China] was extorted from me as a fine. Later, I was imprisoned in a drug release center and detention centers concurrently for forced brainwashing. Concerned only about themselves, the vicious policemen were not concerned about our lives. We sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil elements in other dimensions that are controlling these people. On April 8, 2002, after I went on hunger strike for 5 days, I left the detention center without writing any statements.
