Li Tongying, a thirty-nine year-old Dafa practitioner from Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province was kidnapped by personnel from the "610 Office." [An agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems.] She was abducted while working at the Xiashan Land General Company on Oct. 4. She is in danger. Her elderly parents, who are in their seventies, cry every day and worry about their only daughter. Her mother asked for help from the company that Li worked at, but those in charge were very unkind to her. They made excuses and refused to disclose her whereabouts. Instead, they made some sarcastic comments and said that Li would be sent to another undisclosed location after being detained locally for a month.

Fellow practitioners who happen to read this piece of news, please send forth your righteous thoughts to help Li Tongying. We hope that fellow practitioners (especially those overseas) will call the leaders of Xiashan Land General Company to awaken their conscience, if possible. The elderly parents need their daughter to take care of them. She is the only family they have.

Background: Li Tongying was illegally detained for a half month because she went to appeal for Dafa in Beijing in the year of 2000. Xiashan Nanhai Sea fleet, where her ex-husband served at that time, threatened him and forced him to divorce Li. Being steadfast in the truth, she was deprived of her marriage and her six-year-old son was deprived of his mother. Li and her husband used to be classmates in college. Together, they had a happy and harmonious marriage, as well as a smart and lovely son. Now the happy family has been broken apart by external forces. The company leaders once took some policemen to her home to steal her things. Without any legal process, she was detained for an extra half month. In June of 2001, she was kidnapped and taken to a brainwashing class run by the 610 Office. She resisted the evil persecution with a no-food-and-no-water hunger strike. The 610 Office was afraid she would die and sent her home after five days. A member of the 610 Office expressed his admiration for her afterwards.
