(Clearwisdom.net) On December 2, 2002, a weeklong "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition commenced at the hall of Multi-cultural Center at the University of Arkansas.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Multi-cultural Center of the University of Arkansas and held by "Friends of China," a registered student group. It was aimed at conveying Dafa truth-clarification information to precious Chinese students, scholars and faculty and staff at the university, and displaying Dafa's sacredness and beauty to the American people. Over 60 photos were displayed at the exhibition, and they were divided into four categories: Falun Dafa's widespread; awards and recognition; brutal persecution in China; Dafa practitioners' worldwide peaceful appeals.

Inspired and encouraged by practitioners in other states who have successfully held "Journey of Falun Dafa " photo exhibitions at their local universities, Dafa practitioners in Arkansas also planned to hold a similar photo exhibition at our university. Bringing with us Dafa truth-clarifying materials, we went to the Multi-cultural Center of the university, and quite soon, we won great support from the director of the center; our action also received warm support from practitioners in Dallas, Texas. They made a special trip to give us the photos and all the materials needed for the exhibition.

Two weeks prior to the exhibition, local practitioners did a lot of preparatory work. They published advertisements in the campus newspaper and Chinese newspapers. The Multi-cultural Center enthusiastically supported us and notified the faculty and staff on campus twice. The "Friends of China" group took the exhibition as its recent most important activity and sent written notices to all Chinese students and scholars at the university, and also promoted the exhibition on the group's website. Approved by the Student Center of the university on December 4, 2002, the exhibition was transferred to the hall at the Student Center, a place usually reserved for faculty and staff to hold activities. Many people came to the exhibition, including Chinese students and scholars. There were also Western students who felt disgusted at seeing the brutal persecution directed by the Jiang regime and showed great interest in Dafa. They asked how they could help to end this brutal persecution. The practitioners showed videos in English exposing the persecution, and at the same time handed out Dafa flyers and truth-clarifying materials.

After the one-week exhibition at the University of Arkansas, we held another "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition at the Jones Family Center, the largest community center in the city of Springdale. A department manager of the Jones Family Center had learned about Falun Dafa through local Dafa practitioners, and he has invited Dafa practitioners to participate in their annual health expo each of the past three years.
