My Courage and Strength Comes from the Magnificent Mighty Virtue of Dafa

I have been a timid person since my childhood. I was even afraid of going to the restroom alone when I was a kid. I was scared to death during the 10 years of the "Cultural Revolution" after seeing my parents labeled as "capitalist-raiders" and "spies." I was unable to defend my innocent parents when people, even some kids, cursed them and me.

My younger brother was different from me. He would answer back or fight back whenever people cursed my parents. As a result, he suffered a lot of beatings together with my mom and dad. One time the "rebel members" beat my mother until she was bruised and lacerated so as to force her to "admit" that she was a spy of the National Party. She was hurt so severely that it took a few years for her to recover from the wounds. Later on my parents were rehabilitated [their good reputations were restored-ed].

Before I started my cultivation practice of Falun Dafa, I kept feeling deeply guilty whenever I recalled that I never appealed or fought for my parent's innocence during that period of time. I could not bear to look back at that painful period when some people used all vicious methods to persecute other innocent people, such as slanderous words, violence, lies and deceitful propaganda.

After I obtained Dafa, I became a new person. I have obtained endless wisdom, courage and strength from Dafa. I also have begun to realize the true meaning of life and I am no longer afraid of hardships or tribulations. I have felt, observed and realized from my own cultivation practice that, as Teacher Li indicated,

"Indestructible righteous faith in the cosmos' Truth forms benevolent Dafa disciples' rock-solid, Diamond-Like Bodies, it frightens all evil, and the light of Truth it emanates makes the unrighteous elements in all beings' thoughts disintegrate."

Since Jiang's regime started its vicious slander of Teacher and the brutal persecution of practitioners, I have been to Zhongnanhai alone to deliver my letter of appeal. I was able to give up the attachment to life and death when I was caught many times while distributing truth-clarifying flyers. I was able to fearlessly look straight in the eyes of a policeman as his trembling hand pulled out a gun. All of my courage and strength comes from the magnificent mighty virtue of Dafa. The righteous thoughts of firmly believing in Teacher and practicing Falun Gong made the vicious police at a loss as to what to do on many occasions.

Looking back on my experience of life and my cultivation path, I feel that everything that has happened has gone by very quickly. Without Teacher and Dafa, there is no existence for me, a practitioner who is able to give up everything I have for defending the highest universal principle: 'Truth Compassion Forbearance'. I will be more diligent in my cultivation and follow Teacher to rectify the Fa so as to accomplish our great historic mission.
