The Persecution of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Qijiang County, Chongqing City

(Clearwisdom.net) During the more than three years of persecution of Falun Dafa, at least 150 Falun Dafa practitioners in Qijiang County have been illegally detained, sent to forced labor camps, or sentenced to prison. Falun Dafa practitioners who are still being illegally held in a detention center include Liao Lianhai, Gu Shengxue, and Wang Xiaoquan. Practitioners who were illegally sentenced to prison for 7-8 years include Liu Bijing, Zhao Jiafen, and Yang Longmei. Another practitioner Wei Lizhu was also illegally held in a detention center in Guiyang City. His current whereabouts are not known. Falun Dafa practitioners who were illegally sentenced to forced labor camps include Liao Lianhai, Gu Shengxue, Zhang Qiyong, Zhang Zhiqiang, Liu Jibin, Zhang Jianfeng, Peng Bo, Xiang Ningjing, Fang Ping, Fang Min, Zhou Kairong, Feng Angui, etc.

In early 2000, the Public Security Bureau of Qijiang County illegally sent a female Falun Dafa practitioner, Wang Jiqin to the Maojiashan Female Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City. For nearly two years, from early year 2000 to early year 2002, she was cruelly tortured and forcibly injected with unknown drugs that caused her to suddenly lose consciousness. She died on September 23, 2002. After Wang Jiqin died, the local public security department constantly harassed her family members. Her parents were under house arrest and watched by 7-8 people; her younger sister's husband Gu Shengxue was abducted again by the evil police. Her sister was also forced to leave home to avoid further persecution at the hands of the authorities. For relevant reports, please see:
