A Young Woman Learns About Dafa While Being Held in a Detention Center

12/9/2002

(Clearwisdom.net) May is a young woman in her twenties who was detained in a detention center for a misdemeanor. In this difficult environment she got a chance to know a lot of older women who firmly believe in Dafa. These aunties [in China, elderly women are affectionately called aunties] helped her change her negative attitudes towards life, and she started following them in studying the Fa and doing the exercises. Soon, the aunties left the detention center one after another. They left a copy of the precious book Zhuan Falun with May. They had risked their lives to bring the book into the detention center and they asked May to take good care of it. However, May couldn't keep the book; the evil guards took it away from her and she felt very regretful.

Several months ago, two other Dafa practitioner aunties were arrested and brought into the detention center. Like the other ladies, they loved and cared for May very much. In addition to telling her about the benefits of Dafa, they took very good care of her in her day-to-day life. Within a short period of time, May felt that these aunties cared about her even more than her mother, and felt bad without them around. Two months later, the two aunties were both sentenced to three years of forced labor, and were going to be sent to the labor camp. May felt bad and cried for them, but they smiled and comforted her, "Don't worry, everything will be all right."

Under our Master's merciful protection, the two aunties overcame their tribulation with righteous thoughts. The labor camp refused to take them and very soon they were released to go home.

Not long ago, another elderly lady practitioner was sent to the detention center. She went on a hunger strike to protest against the persecution, and the thugs had to release her. May helped the elderly lady in walking out of the gates. While walking, she wished that she would see the other two aunties who were recently released. When she helped the elderly practitioner walk out of the third gate and saw the family members who had come to take the elderly lady home, she was so happy to see that they were exactly the two aunties she was thinking about.

At this point, May could not control herself any more; she rushed into the arms of one auntie and cried loudly in joy.

I was also at the scene and was deeply touched.
