Practitioners Attend the 5th International Science Conference of Spiritual Consolation Therapy Held in Lithuania

(Clearwisdom.net) On November 30^th and December 1^st 2002, the 5^th International Science Conference of Spiritual Consolation Therapy was held in Latvia's capital, Vilnius. Representatives from the former Soviet-bloc and other countries in the Baltic Sea area took part in the conference. Latvian Dafa practitioners attended this conference to introduce Falun Dafa and to clarify the true situation of the persecution to Lithuanians and attendants of the conference.

When we demonstrated the 5 sets of exercises on stage, those in attendance were moved by the practitioners' calm and compassionate field. Many there mentioned that there was indeed a strong energy field during the practitioners' demonstration. Some attendees asked for information about the practice and wondered if Falun Gong demonstrations could be held in their areas.

Attendees asked some questions about the illegal suppression Falun Gong has encountered in China. The Master of Ceremonies asked us to talk about the persecution in detail. A fellow practitioner used a series of examples to expose the entirely groundless accusations by Jiang's regime in his speech, and everyone was interested in the truth-clarifying VCD that we distributed to those in attendance. We talked about the staged Tiananmen self-immolation and other incidents concocted to slander Falun Gong by China's state-run media and propaganda machine.

We also held the "Journey of Falun Dafa" photo exhibition in the conference hall, showing people how Dafa has spread far and wide.

The president of the Latvian branch of the international spiritual consolation therapy academy was very interested in learning of the facts of Falun Gong's popularity before the persecution began, and about its many health benefits. He said these facts are very important when he introduces Falun Gong to other organizations that have not understood us yet. He also introduced some cases where the Chinese Embassy in Latvia spread rumors about Falun Gong everywhere in order to evade international condemnation.

On the second day in Vilnius, we walked on the streets to spread and clarify the truth. We were warmly welcomed and supported by many citizens.

During the journey to the conference, whenever we encountered obstructions, we could always feel help and protection from our Teacher. We are thankful for Teacher's compassionate arrangements to help us stride forward on the path of Fa-rectification.
