Fate and Opportunity

One day in 1998 I met an elderly lady who was lost in Beijing. I took her to the Westside Station and she was very grateful. I told her that I was a Falun Gong practitioner, and hoped that she would remember that Falun Gong is good. Another evening in 2000, on my way home I met a 15 year-old boy from Shandong Province who had lost all his money to a conman. After getting him some food I helped him to stay in a hotel. The next day I bought him a train ticket and sent him home. When he thanked me again while he was getting on the train, I told him that it was Falun Gong that helped him. Falun Gong taught people to be good and what was described on TV was all false.

At the time, I did not think much of these two incidents but now I see that they were quite significant. I realized that it was Master who was benevolently saving the sentient beings and arranging this opportunity for various lives represented by the old and the young to be saved.

A few days ago when I went to the library to distribute Dafa truth-clarifying materials, to my surprise I ran into a friend that I had first met two years ago. She was very happy to see me, telling me that this was her first time coming to the library in two years and it was a surprising coincidence to meet me there. I told her that it appeared that we had a predestined relationship, and told her about Dafa. Afterward, I went to a college campus to distribute truth-clarifying materials. I was surprised again to meet a junior-high school classmate whom I had not seen in over ten years. During our conversation I found out that he had also been deceived by the government's propaganda and misunderstood Dafa. I began explaining the truth to him patiently, helping him to resolve the puzzles in his mind.

These two incidents happened within a few hours, as though everything had been pre-arranged. Dafa treats every life equally and correctly. It is great. As Teacher taught us, "Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful." To save sentient beings, Dafa has created many opportunities for us. I am sincerely happy for their being able to hear the truth and be saved.

One day in June 2002, I went to a research institute to take care of some business. I walked in without registration. On my way out after finishing my business, a middle-aged man at the entrance asked me, with a rough voice, if I worked there or not. I did not reply and walked out. After walking for a short distance, I felt that what I had done was not appropriate, so I went back and apologized to him. He was surprised at first, but gradually he developed a smile. That night I thought that I should have taken the opportunity to tell him about Dafa. I began writing a letter, hoping that he could learn about Dafa through this incident in which an "unhappy occurrence" turned into a "mutual understanding."
