Stories of People Around Me Awakening to the Truth

1. Soon after I was released from the labor camp, I met a primary school classmate of mine who did not understand why I had been illegally detained in the labor camp. So I explained the facts to him. At the same time, two elderly people happened to overhear our conversation. When they heard about how I had been tortured in the labor camp, they were overcome with tears and said, "You did the right thing. Isn't this the same as the Cultural Revolution? We should speak the truth and listen to our conscience." My classmate also said, "The TV propaganda should never be believed. You are truly great. You are a role model."

2. One evening, four practitioners and I distributed flyers in the area surrounding my home. The next day, a storeowner met me and said, "Last night I got a Falun Gong flyer. Now I understand that the television reports are all lies. The self-immolation and murder stories were all fabricated. After I finished reading the flyer, I sent it to the school. There are more people there, and I want them all to know the truth."

3. Once, a few friends of a relative of mine visited my home. One of the friends was in charge of persecuting Falun Gong; but he knew the truth and had never personally persecuted Dafa. At that time, as I had just been released from the labor camp on parole, he deliberately came over to see me. Another fellow was also an official. Upon leaving my home, he said to my father, "Although you are retired, you always like to help others, as if you are also a Falun Gong practitioner." Then, he cast a meaningful look at me, as if to say, "I understand you. All of you Falun Gong practitioners are good people."

4. In the labor camp, I once went on hunger strike to protest. A division chief who knows the truth told me, "After two years of dealing with you, I truly respect those who refuse to give up their belief. Actually, you are the ones that are truly worthy of making friends with. Although you look vulnerable, you are in fact very tough because you have the strength of spirit. If all people in the society were like you, it would be great. Actually, truth is always truth. Eventually you will attain justice." On another occasion, she told me, "Jiang never does anything much, but on the issue of Falun Gong, he does nothing but bully honest and truthful people."
