(Clearwisdom.net) As cultivators we must clearly understand that only Falun Dafa disciples are able to participate in Fa-rectification. People's endeavors are not the true determining forces. Article 23 is directed at Falun Dafa. It is controlled and driven by the old forces to capitalize on the jealousy and desires of the most evil individual in the human world. We will turn the tables and use the persecution as an opportunity to clarify the truth and offer salvation to sentient beings. At the same time, we further understand that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the principles of the universe, and while the evil is against Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, it not only persecutes Dafa practitioners, but it also infringes on the rights of all people. Hong Kong's Article 23 is one such example. After understanding this point, practitioners from Montreal used their weekends to visit local Chinese organizations and stores in Chinatown.

Due to our persistently clarifying the truth to the Chinese community for over a year, local Chinese people have changed their attitudes towards Dafa. Previously, they were indifferent to the persecution, did not understand us or even said bad words about Dafa. Now, most people express their gratitude and smilingly accept and even ask for Dafa truth-clarifying materials. Now, many Chinese organizations and shop owners say as practitioners approach them, "Here comes Falun Gong!" and then they reach out their hands, take the reports on Article 23, and carefully read them. They express their thankfulness to practitioners. This time, practitioner Lin Shenli, who had endured two years of "re-education through forced labor" because of his belief and practice of Falun Gong was warmly received and respected by most Chinese people when he visited the Chinese organizations. Many people and Lin Shenli expressed their thanks to each other. Some people even walked over to tightly shake hands with Shenli.

Most overseas Chinese people are often busy earning a living. Most do not know about Article 23. Although some know a little, they don't truly understand the ramifications of the matter. Many merchants took the materials and carefully read them. Some said, "Oh, troubles will come! Hong Kong was originally fine, but now it encounters troubles."

Practitioners met some people in the Chinese community. After learning about the major points about Article 23, some people were very anxious and said, "I must tell this to more Chinese people. Please give me more materials."

When they heard that a "global coalition against Article 23 legislation" had already been formed, they eagerly wanted to get more information and said to practitioners, "This is not only an issue of Falun Gong, it matters to all Chinese people." Some said, "We have been worried about the 'One Country, Two Systems' policy since 1997, now the proposed legislation of Article 23 demonstrates that Jiang is acting like a gangster. A great number of Chinese people do not know about this! Please tell more people about it as soon as possible. This is really a serious matter." They also clearly expressed, "We know that Falun Gong is good. It is wrong to persecute Falun Gong. Unfortunately, because the Chinese Consulate is watching us, although we understood this in our hearts we dared not to stand up or speak out. Now all Chinese people should take action!"
