Switzerland: Falun Dafa at a Health Exposition in Bern

(Clearwisdom.net) From December 6th to 8th, in the Swiss capital Bern, a large Health Expo was held and attended by over 5,000 people. Falun Dafa practitioners used this great opportunity to let people know about Dafa and the benefits that they have received from the practice. To help people recognize the Falun Gong booth, practitioners hung on the left side of the exhibition hall an eye-catching banner reading, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance", the principles of Falun Dafa.

Many people were attracted by the peaceful and compassionate Dafa music. A TV played the exercise instruction video, while practitioners demonstrated the exercises, handed out information on Falun Gong and the persecution in China, and also collected signatures calling for an end to the persecution in China. Many people came to know about the extent of Jiang's 3-year persecution of Falun Gong and the impact it has had on hundreds of millions of people in China. Others saw the peacefulness of Falun Gong and wanted to learn more.

There was one person from another city who had practised a Qigong exercise system. When seeing the photographs of numerous Dafa practitioners practising exercises around the world, he felt Falun Gong was different and asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun [the main text of Falun Gong] and a book of exercise instructions. He said that he would read the books to get a better understanding of Falun Gong.

One of the practitioners made use of his ability to write Chinese calligraphy and wrote Chinese characters for those who asked for them. It was not long before people began to gather at the Falun Gong booth requesting some Chinese calligraphy. A practitioner used this opportunity to tell the audience the facts about the persecution in China. After hearing the practitioner's words, the audience showed their sympathy by signing a petition supporting Falun Gong. They even asked for materials giving details about the human rights abuses occurring against the innocent practitioners in China.

A journalist from the NZZ newspaper in Zurich came to visit the booth and took photos of the Dafa practitioners talking to the audience. Before leaving, he also asked for some Chinese calligraphy with the name of his newspaper office on it. He took photos of the banners imprinted with the Chinese words, "The World Needs Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance."

Many people were admiring the banner of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" while expressing their appreciation. Some Westerners pressed their hands together in front of their chests to express their appreciation. Still others learned to say the Chinese words "Zhen, Shan, Ren" [Chinese for Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance] while walking by.

One practitioner commented that many people would talk to their relatives and friends about Falun Gong and the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance. In this way, the peaceful nature of Falun Gong would be further known and so would the lies spread by the Jiang regime.

Overall, the event was a great success.
