Cases of Illegal Arrest and Sentencing of Falun Dafa Practitioners in Benxi City, Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) At five o'clock in the morning on November 4, 2002, policemen from the police station of Benxi Iron and Steel Complex, Benxi City, Liaoning Province kidnapped Falun Dafa practitioner Lin Xiuqin from her home. The 43 year-old female practitioner was sent to Benxi forced labour camp for attempted brainwashing. Other Dafa practitioners in the area have also been harassed in different degrees.

On March 20, 2002, female Dafa practitioners Yu Fengxian and Feng Xia were also kidnapped.

On the evening of July 8, 2001, 57 year-old female practitioner Wang Fenghua and another female practitioner, Zhang Huiping, were illegally kidnapped while handing out Falun Dafa truth clarifying material by the head of the local security guards, Meng. The two were then sent to the police sub-station. After that, police ransacked their homes, looted all the Falun Dafa books and sent them to the notorious Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. Now Wang Fenghua and Zhang Huiping are still being illegally held in the labor camp.

On the evening of September 27, 2002, policeman Lu Qiang of Niuxintai District of Benxi City led five or six other policemen to kidnap Falun Dafa practitioner Zhu Houyou. On taking him away, the police did not allow him to put his clothes on so he was stripped to the waist. Then the police illegally ransacked his home and fabricated charges to sentence him to three years of forced labor.

Zhu Houyou had very poor health and suffered from various illnesses before practicing Falun Dafa. After practicing Falun Dafa his health improved and he found it a pleasure to help others. When Zhu Houyou was arrested, all his neighbors and people who knew him just could not understand why a good person like him should be taken away. It really did not make sense. Now Zhu Houyou is being tortured in the Benxi forced labor camp. Because he firmly believed in Dafa, the police in the labor camp do not allow his family to visit him.
