Recognizing Hawaii's Falun Dafa Practitioners

for Sharing Their Practice

with Our Community

The Falun Dafa practice was first introduced in the United States in 1996 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. This practice, also know as Falun Gong, is based in the universal characteristics of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Falun Dafa involves cultivating a person's "xinxing" or mind/heart nature in the pursuit of becoming the best one can be. In order to cultivate the "xinxing", a person follows five sets of simple yet effective exercises to improve one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Due to its positive effects on so many individuals, Falun Dafa has spread throughout the United States and Canada, and has been recognized with over 340 awards and proclamations. Falun Dafa is known in the United States as a Path to your Original True Self that cultivates a Healthy Body and Peaceful Heart. Hawaii's Falun Dafa practitioners provide free demonstrations, seminars, and teaching materials throughout the islands. Hawaii's Falun Dafa practitioners are also human rights advocates, with their ultimate desire to improve the well-being of all peoples of the world.

The senate of the Twenty-First Legislature of the State of Hawaii hereby recognizes and commends the Hawaii practitioners of Falun Dafa for their commitment of sharing their knowledge and practice with our community.
