(Clearwisdom.net) Since July 20, 1999, Wen Genyin, a deputy Party Secretary in Hemu County, Xinji City, Hebei Province, often led a group of people to harass Dafa practitioners. When practitioners tried to reason with him, he said, "We have specific orders from the highest source. No laws will be applied in handling Falun Gong practitioners, you have neither freedom nor rights. We will ruin your reputation, bankrupt you financially and destroy your physical body, and we can torture you in whatever way we want!"

Over the past three years, hundreds of Dafa practitioners in Hemu County have been harassed, kidnapped, beaten and fined. In September 2002, several practitioners were kidnapped, detained, beaten , fined of amounts as high as 7,000 to 10,000 Yuan [Chinese currency, the average monthly income of an urban worker is 500 Yuan], and their homes were ransacked. Even now practitioners continue to be harassed.

It is a well-known heavenly principle that good deeds will be rewarded with good returns and evildoings will meet evil ends. Many wise officials in Xinji City have already halted their persecution of Dafa practitioners. The previous Political and Judiciary Secretary in Shijiazhuang City continued to actively participate in persecuting Dafa practitioners. His pursuit of self-interest and political gain has caused him to lose all human kindness and conscience. At present, he has fallen ill and lay in a coma, meeting his karmic retribution for evildoing.
