By a Dafa practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) Originally from China, I have been in Europe for more than half a year. During that time I have had many chances to clarify the truth directly to the precious Chinese people. I would like to share some of my experiences.

In order to clarify the truth, Dafa practitioners are not afraid of hardship. In France, one Dafa practitioner has persisted in doing a lot of clarifying the truth for two years. She has two children studying in elementary school, so she has heavy time commitments. However, she changed her full-time job to a part time job. In this way, she can use the time left to look for Chinese restaurants to send newspapers to and hand out the materials. She works so hard that she usually goes home around 11 or 12 o'clock at night. Her mother is nearly 70 years old. She hands out newspapers in front of Chinese restaurants everyday, regardless of the weather. Another Dafa practitioner, who arrived in France not long ago from China, eats only two pieces of bread with an egg as lunch everyday when handing out the materials. She could have used the time to make money, yet she places Dafa as the first priority. Still another practitioner, whose job is to clean people's houses, insists on handing out materials in the restaurants everyday, regardless of how tired she is from her job.

There are many Chinese tourists in Europe. At many scenic spots, there are carloads and carloads of Chinese tourists. So we went to clarify the truth to them. We showed them photos, telling them that more than 60 countries in the world welcome Falun Gong. These are things that they didn't know before but are glad to find out. Sometimes, after I talk to one of the tourist in the group, when another person came up to talk to me, the people who had heard the truth would just tell him, "The self-immolation is fake." Deceived by the evil propaganda, some people did not believe that we were practitioners. Then, we would show them photos of our practicing the exercises. Some other people said that we were being paid to do this. We told them that if we really did that for money, wouldn't it be easier for us to throw the materials away and then take the pay? Why should we take so much effort to clarify the truth to them? After talking to us, sometimes people would offer to donate money. We would say, "It is more important than anything else that you can understand Falun Gong and know it is good. We don't want money." Sometimes they wanted to take photos with us.

In Austria, many western practitioners practice the exercises in the parks that Chinese go through everyday, so that they can hand out the materials to the Chinese people. Some of them said, "How can they practice it?" Another answered, "They can do what they like." After reading the materials, one girl immediately responded, "Oh, the self-immolation is fake." In Austria, a 19-year-old western Dafa disciple, who has obtained the Fa for only a year, insists on handing out the truth-clarifying materials to the Chinese tourists. Whenever she saw Chinese tourists, she would run to them immediately and say to them in Chinese, "This is for you. It's free. I like China." Sometimes, no one took the materials, she would said loudly, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is the righteous Fa!" Then, people would come up to her and take the materials. She said that it was the power of Dafa. One time, she met a big group with more than 50 people, none of whom took the materials. So she played the exercise music with a MP3 player. Upon hearing Master's voice, people hurried over to get the materials from her. Because she works during the day, she does not have much time. So she uses the half hour of lunch break and on the way to the bank to hand out the materials. Many Chinese tourists like her very much and take photos with her.

One time, we met an older couple in Germany. When we told them about the true situation, the man did not understand the Zhongnanhai incident. We patiently explained it to him. His wife said, "Now in China, it is extremely chaotic. In my view, Falun Gong is the best."

One day, I met two Chinese who were on business trip. After clarifying the truth to them, I helped them to find a Chinese restaurant, and recommended the best tourist spots and how to get there. They said that they knew that they'd met a good person. One time, a group of people said to me, "You are a Falun Gong practitioner. Get in our car and practice the exercises. It's all right." So I sat in the front part of the car, demonstrating the sitting meditation exercise to them. I told them that Falun Gong was not like what the false reports in China said, and hoped that they will read the materials I gave them. They listened to me intently.

One time, I met a big group of tourists. Some dared not take the materials. One person in the group told me, "Some of them dared not take them. You can give me more, and I'll hand them out after going back. We can't get these materials in China. Can you give me the book Zhuan Falun? I can't buy it in China." I gave him the book. The Zhuan Falun I read is always a new one, because people ask for it so often.

There were some hostile tourists, also. One time, a group of tourists threw the materials into the garbage can. However, I met them again at another sightseeing spot. I was sitting beside the road and eating at that time. Probably because seeing my simple lunch, they were moved. So I said to them, "What's wrong with understanding Falun Gong?" This time, they were not so hostile. They silently left with eyes lowered.

One time, after giving the materials to one group of tourists, their leader came to talk to me for a while. He said that the self-immolation was a personal act. China should not have made it such big news. So I gave him the VCD and told him the facts of the self-immolation. I asked him to expose the truth to the people around him. I also told him the persecution that the Dafa disciple Zi-xiu Chen had gone through. When I told her story, I was almost in tears. Then, he said, "I admire that you dare to tell the truth. It's difficult, and I wish I had the same courage. They block out all of the truth. They won't let the public know the truth."

One day, it was raining, but I forgot to bring an umbrella. There was a car of Chinese tourists who did not accept the materials at that time. After they had eaten lunch, they found that I still waited for them in the rain. So, many of them came to ask for the materials. Another time, none of the tourists took the materials. We played the song "The Fa Rectifies the Cosmos" sung by Gui-min Guan (a famous singer in Mainland China), and told them that Gui-min Guan also learned Falun Gong. Although they did not take the materials, they heard the songs of Dafa disciples.

Having been exposed to the sun and wind for a whole summer, we were well tanned. The vendor who sells handicrafts near us said to us jokingly, "Even though you're not making money, you're working harder than those of us who are."

In the park where we often hand out the materials, there are two vendors who sold paintings. One supports Dafa, and the other often disturbed us when we were clarifying the truth. He did not listen to our efforts to clarify the truth. I told him that the other vendor was so kind that his business was good, and there was justice in this world. However, he did not believe it and mocked me, "Is it Falun Gong that helped him to have good business?" Nevertheless, after a few days, one practitioner told me that guy became good. It turned out that his business was not good lately--whenever he came to sell his paintings, it rained. One day, the policeman confiscated all of his merchandise. He was depressed and asked, "Whom did I offend?" The other vendor, who always supported Dafa, told him, "You need to stop insulting Falun Gong." He then changed his attitude.

With the progress of Fa-rectification and a great amount of evil being eliminated in other dimensions, many people are willing to accept the materials we give them. One day, an official of the Embassy came to the park with two guests. A person beside me told me that he was from the Embassy. I was a bit scared. All of a sudden, the person said, "You should especially give materials to such kinds of people." I realized it was Master giving me a hint. So I gave them the Dafa VCD and the truth-clarifying materials. They took them happily.

In the recent months, instead of us looking for the tourists, it has been them looking for us. Sometimes, when I took a wrong direction in the subway, I would run into a big group of Chinese tourists at the exit. One time, I was lost and went to a remote place, where I met a group of tourists. I know that it was Master's arrangement for them to go there.

One day, when I walked down the street while wearing a Dafa T-shirt, I ran into a group of Chinese people. I did not have any materials at that time, so I specifically walked next to them. When they saw me, they whispered to each other, "Falun Gong, Falun Gong." So I told them that I was a Falun Gong practitioner. I also told them about the truth of the self-immolation, and how we were good people who treasured morality, and that Falun Dafa was good. They listened silently and happily.

One time, when the Austrian and German Dafa practitioners were promoting Dafa, they met a group of tourists. At that time, everyone wore bright yellow T-shirts with yellow scarves. When we gave them materials, they did not take them. Then, the western practitioners started to sing the song, "Falun Dafa is good," together. One Chinese in the group said, "I have never met so many Dafa disciples, and there are so many westerners learning it." I know that this encounter was a blessing for this group of people.

Sometimes, in order to get more materials, the Chinese tourists would empty my bag and ask, "Is there anything else?" I often left home with a full bag of materials and return with an empty bag. Although sometimes I was so tired that I could barely walk, I felt especially happy. I would have felt something was wrong if I did not pass out materials that day.

Sometimes, when my cultivation state was not good, nobody accepted the materials. I would think of Master's words, "If you aren't against the Communist Party, that's fine, if you aren't against so and so, that's fine, but I'll tell you this: don't be against Dafa. Why? I'll tell you the true situation" ("Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, U.S.A."). Then, I felt like crying. How merciful and benevolent Master is! I know that I should study the Fa more. I am not compassionate enough.

I could not start writing this article for a long time, because I always felt it's nothing. I'm sure that quite many practitioners have had similar experiences. I know that what I have done is far from sufficient. Many practitioners in Mainland China are doing a lot of the Fa-rectification work and truth clarification under such an evil environment. I hope that those practitioners who want to step forward and have not yet done so, can join the great current of Fa-rectification quickly!

Finally, I would like to end this article with two passages from Master's teachings:

"...how could the Fa of the cosmos be damaged by human beings? No one is able to damage it... But when someone comes to persecute the Fa, what should you, a disciple, a particle of Dafa, do? Shouldn't you let the truth be known and make people aware of the facts? This is looking at it in terms of you. You are a particle of Dafa, so you should play this role." ("Guiding the Voyage" - "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference")

"If those people's thoughts don't turn around, think about it, they're done for. I think you should, as a student, a cultivator, do these things from the perspective of mercy, too. Inform people of the truth, tell them about it--this is also rescuing people" ("Guiding the Voyage" - "Teaching the Fa at the Western U.S. Fa Conference")
