Practitioner Wei Laihe Tortured to Death at the Linxi Police Station in Guye District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province


(Clearwisdom.net) On November 6, 2002, Wang Zhenhai, a policeman from Linxi Police Station in Guye District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province, came to tell Dafa practitioner Wei Laihe that the director of the police station wanted to see him. After Wei arrived at the police station, the police arrested him, claiming that someone had seen him distributing truth-clarification materials and had reported him to the police. The police ransacked his home, but they failed to find any evidence. On November 10, Wei began a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. On November 15, under the strong protest of Wei's family members, Wei was released. However, he passed away the day after he returned home.
