(Clearwisdom.Net) This November, Dongfeng District Court illegally sentenced Liu Junhua, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province, to ten years in prison.

Liu Junhua, male, 36, was an employee in the Security Department of the Sanjiang Food Company. The police forcibly kidnapped him from his home in April 2002 during a large-scale roundup. They also confiscated one DVD player, two portable audio players, 2000 Yuan in cash, two cell phones, VCDs, audiotapes, as well as Falun Dafa books. (The average monthly income for an urban worker in China is 500 Yuan)

The Dongfeng District Police Station used all kinds of torture to interrogate Liu Junhua. Shortly before October 1, the Dongfeng District Court tried Liu Junhua. As Liu denied all the so-called evidence, the court adjourned without a verdict. The court sentenced him later without informing his family.

Liu Junhua is still being illegally detained in the Jiamusi Detention Center.

Luo Hui, Liu Junhua's wife, is also a Falun Dafa practitioner. She is 35 and was an anchor for the Sanjiang Food Company Cable TV Station. This May, officers from Nanwei Police Substation staked out her home for two days, hoping to arrest her. Luo Hui has been forced to abandon her home and go from place to place to avoid further persecution.
