A Truth-Clarifying Experience at the European Parliament Building

(Clearwisdom.net) While the European Parliament was in session, the Hong Kong government sent two lobbyists, one from Hong Kong and a Westerner.

In last week's hearing of witnesses, the two lobbyists spoke at length. Later on, they continually encountered Falun Gong practitioners in the European Parliament Building. A Hong Kong practitioner told them about her and her family's experience of being persecuted in Mainland China, "I was born and brought up in Mainland China, and I am a permanent resident of Hong Kong currently. I don't want to see Hong Kong being ruled by dictatorship like Mainland China." After that lobbyist listened to her experience, he lowered his head and could say nothing. A German journalist told them, "My wife is also practising Falun Gong, and I think Falun Gong is good!"

After they continually met Falun Gong practitioners, they started to do things secretively and expressed continually that they were not here for Article 23. However, Falun Gong practitioners told them that we were here to let all the members of European Parliament (MEPs) know that Article 23 could damage Hong Kong's freedom and human rights, and everyone should oppose it. When I went to an MEP's office, I saw they were entering into another office. I thought that when I come back, I should send truth-clarifying materials to that office as well. When I passed by that office, I only saw the MEP's assistant through the open door. But when I entered the office, I found that both of them were busy writing something. I said to the assistant: "I've also got some materials about Article 23, but different from theirs." I explained to her why Article 23 should not be enacted, and she nodded from time to time to show her agreement. Meanwhile, the two lobbyists kept avoiding eye contact with me. At the end, I said: "It is a pity that my English is poor. If I spoke in German, I could be more understandable." The western lobbyist lifted his head and said, "Your English is quite good."

We are doing things from our hearts in a frank, dignified way, because we know what we have been doing are the most righteous things.
