(Clearwisdom.net) Before the Chinese ruling Party's 16^th Congress in November 2002, police from Qumo Township police station, Yongnian County in Hebei Province arrested Dafa practitioner Zhang Xiangling and held her in Yongnian County Detention Center. Ms. Zhang immediately started a hunger strike. More than 40 days have passed, but her hunger strike continues. During her hunger strike, the police brutally force-fed her every other day with food and salted water. She refused to cooperate with the police. Female prison guard Shi Yinghua violently beat her, causing severe cuts and bruises all over her body. The director of the detention center threatened to force-feed her every day. Ms. Zhang is now in critical condition. The plastic tube inserted into her stomach is bloodstained. Even now, the torture continues.

Practitioners Hao Zhishun and Li Zhurong are also being held without trial in the same detention center.
