Wu Keli, Associate Director of Yitong County Measurement Bureau in Jilin Province, Given 5 Year Sentence; His Wife Yuan Wenxin is Also Jailed

(Clearwisdom.net) Wu Keli was an associate director for the Measurement Bureau of Yitong County, Jilin Province. He was strict with himself at work but generous with others. He always measured himself with the standard of Zhen-Shan-Ren [Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, the principles of Falun Gong].

However, under the persecution of Jiang's regime, he was arrested by Yitong County "610 Office" [the 610 Office is an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political or judicial systems] and suffered brutal torture. Without any evidence, the police department wanted to interrogate and torture Wu Keli to fabricate evidence to achieve their goal. Although the vicious police used all kinds of methods, they did not succeed.

After detaining him for several days, the court held a secret trial and illegally sentenced Wu Keli to 5 years imprisonment. On the trial date, Wu's family members and friends were not allowed to be present in the court.

After Wu Keli's wife Yuan Wenxin learned that her husband had been illegally sentenced, she wanted to appeal according to the legal procedure. The vicious people feared that their bad deed would be exposed, and on the evening of November 6, policeman Zhang Qi led 7 or 8 policemen to arrest Yuan Wenxin. During the violent arrest, Yuan Wenxin suddenly had symptoms of a heart attack: her face became pale, she had difficulty breathing and fell to the ground after losing consciousness. Police officer Zhang Qi was afraid to take the responsibility, and so he immediately asked for instructions from the "senior level." When Yuan regained consciousness, she was immediately put in jail. Yuan Wenxin has refused to take food or water from the day she was arrested, and her life is now in danger.

Currently only an 80-year-old grandmother and a middle school child remain in Wu Keli's home. Wu Keli's child now also faces the possibility of being dismissed from school. [In China, children whose family members practice Falun Gong are dismissed from schools unless their family members give up the practice.] Thus, a previously perfectly happy family has suffered such persecution by Jiang's regime just because they cultivate Zhen-Shan-Ren and want to be good people.
