Dafa Practitioner Yuan Zhongyu Tortured to Death by Anshan City Police Department, Liaoning Province; Wife Illegally Sent to Labor Camp to Seal the Facts

(Clearwisdom.net) Yuan Zhongyu was 45 years old when he died in early August 2000. He lived in Jiubao, Anshan City, Liaoning Province. In 2000, a fellow practitioner's family member reported him when he was in the fellow practitioner's home and going to go out to clarify the truth. He was brutally tortured to death by thugs from Anshan City Police Department Division One.

The vicious police didn't allow Yuan Zhongyu's family to see the body. They claimed they would have the body inspected by a provincial agency. After a long time, they notified Yuan's family to cremate the body but did not want them to see the body. When the guard was not looking, one family member saw scars on the body and the chest and stomach was black and blue. Someone asked Yuan Zhongyu's wife Chen Guifeng right on the spot, "Don't you want to file a lawsuit and find out the truth?"

After Yuan Zhongyu was tortured to death, the thugs from the division one, afraid of being sued, investigated the background of all of Yuan's family and relatives to see if any of them were trained in law. Chen Guifeng, female, 46 years old, living in Jiubao, Anshan City, Liaoning Province was arrested on August 19, 2000 after her husband Yuan Zhongyu was tortured to death by thugs from Anshan City Police Department Division One, and she was sent to Anshan City Detention Center. She was then sent to a forced labor camp without any legal procedure and has been detained there ever since, for over two years now. The lawless government officials in the labor camp said the illegal detention was out of consideration for Chen's "safety," and they wanted to protect her by putting her in the labor camp. According to the evil thugs, Chen Guifeng would be arrested and sent to jail if the persecution truth of her husband was published on Clearwisdom Net, therefore they wanted to "protect" her in the labor camp. Only Chen's 21-year-old daughter is left at home, and she tried to earn some money to buy daily-use articles for her mother. Chen Guifeng was in poor health; she had pressure in her chest and her heart rate was excessively fast. She often passed out at night once every few days and needed emergency treatment.
