Righteous Thought and Righteous Action Defeat Evil

(Clearwisdom.net) One day, I was arrested from my home by police officers. I shouted loudly "Falun Dafa is great." Many people came around to see what was happening. They witnessed how cruelly the wicked police treated me. The crowd started to talk about it in front of them. Feeling guilty, they pushed me into the police car and left hastily.

I tried to calm myself and send forth powerful righteous thoughts to eradicate all the evils that persecute Falun Dafa. I looked within myself to eliminate the selfishness, the fear, and the notions of common people, so that I could send forth purer righteous thoughts. When they questioned me, I resisted them. They threatened me. My fear and human notions returned frequently, but I believed that Teacher would strengthen me. Teacher says: "No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil's demands, orders, or what it instigates." (Dafa Disciples' Righteous Thoughts are Powerful). No matter how perilous the situation I may meet, I would not succumb to the evils.

When the police tried to sway me under their disguise of kindness, my mind remained determined. I thought to myself: what they say does not count, what Teacher says counts. Thus, my righteous thought became stronger and stronger. My fear disappeared. I quietly recited quietly Teacher's the teachings (Expounding on the Fa):

I became unshakable. I started to look straight in the eyes of all the evildoers who were trying to cheat me. With righteous thoughts, I began to eradicate the evils behind them. I turned from passive to active, and I was no longer under their control. I thought I could not allow them to interrogate and persecute me endlessly. They are not qualified to test me. Once I sent forth righteous thoughts, someone came looking for the officer who questioning me. Thus, the interrogation was ended.

"Be aware: I am not asking you to intentionally do something. I am only trying to make you understand the principles of the Fa so that you will have a clear understanding of this. In fact, Dafa is not only to save human beings--it is also taught to all beings in the various dimensions. Your enlightened, original nature will automatically know what to do. Cherishing your human side enables you to enlighten to and ascend in the Fa. Dafa is harmonizing all sentient beings, and all sentient beings are also harmonizing Dafa. I have told you the solemnity and sacredness of the Fa in order to eliminate your confusion about and misunderstanding of the Fa." (Expounding on the Fa)

Suddenly, I understood the principle of the Fa at this level. Dafa is the most righteous. When we truly let go of ourselves and completely stand on the Fa, we will become the most righteous and should not be persecuted. I realized that I could get out from this tribulation, and the evil could not touch me.

Later, I was locked up in an iron cage. Since my human notions reflected on me now and then, I was slapped on the cheek. However, I did not feel any pain. I had no complaint. I righteously looked the evil people straight in their eyes, frightening them. Later, a police officer talked with me individually. I genuinely showed my compassion toward him, told him the facts of the persecution, explained to him that if I cooperated with him I would in fact harm him, and warned him to cherish his life. At that moment, I did not think about myself, I was merely safeguarding the Fa, and I was saving a life.

In the evening, the police decided to keep me in the police station for the night and sent me to a labor camp the next day. They locked me in an iron cage and had two people watch me. I looked at them, sent forth powerful righteous thoughts, and at the same time, made full use of my wisdom. I solemnly warned them: "Good will meet with good and evil will meet with retribution, so don't torture good people just for the sake of your jobs." I told them with determination: "Teacher will come to save me."

I sent forth righteous thoughts incessantly. When I did not think of escaping but instead, of safeguarding the Fa, I felt the power of righteous thoughts. At the beginning, they arranged four people to watch me, but later reduced it to two people. I clarified the facts of the persecution to them constantly. Even if I was unable to get out of the police station, I could change their wrong notions towards Dafa, and their lives would be saved.

Later, the two guards fell sleep. I thought to myself, it is time to go. I began to feel scared. My heart began beat violently. I recited repeatedly: "Don't be scared, there is Teacher. There is Fa. What is there to fear?" I calmed down. I then removed the cuff from my left hand with righteous thoughts. However, I could not remove the cuff from my right hand. I looked within myself, adjusted my mindset, strengthened the righteous thoughts, and made full use of the supernormal abilities, and soon, the cuff fell off my right hand. When I got up and walked only a few steps, one of the guards was waking up. I sent forth righteous thoughts. He fell sound asleep again. Thus, I opened the lock and went out. I kept reciting the Fa-rectification formula. When I reached downstairs, the door was also locked. I could not open it at beginning, and I felt worried. Once again, I adjusted my mindset, sent forth righteous thought with erected palm, and asked the righteous gods to help me open the door. Indeed, the door opened easily, and I escaped from the hands of evil smoothly.

On the day I was arrested, several other practitioners were also arrested. That day might have been one of the mass-arrest days. My escape was a devastating blow to the evil force. My words, which they mocked at, turned into reality.

The next day, a dust storm swept the whole city. Natural calamities and man-made disasters warn people not to continue to commit evil things!

Appendix:

1. My arrest was due to loopholes that were used by the evil and the lessons learned were important. Cultivation is a serious matter. Only when all attachments are eliminated without omission, can one attain the indestructible diamond-like body. In the process of cultivation, we must look within ourselves, measure everything with Dafa, break away from human notions, strive forward diligently, catch up with the progress of Fa-rectification, and do away with any intention of pursuing the worldly comfort.

2. Never become complacent towards the persecution. Never look at the issue of security with the notions of ordinary humans, as everything you encountered is for your cultivation and for the elimination of your attachments. Actually, there was a revelation before I was arrested. I just did not pay attention and it resulted in this loss.

3. Cultivation is serious. I failed to remain unshakable at the moment the evil came and to eliminate evil with righteous thought, and thus, left a loophole for the evil to take advantage.

4. This experience made me realize more clearly that Dafa practitioners should always look within under any circumstance, give up selfness, safeguard the Fa, and live up to the divinity and greatness of Dafa practitioners during Fa-rectification period.

5. When I escaped from the hands of the evil, I found that it was so easy. This experience further validated that the Buddha Fa is solemn and intricate. It is true "However strong the righteous thoughts are, that's how great the power is" (Also in a Few Words). Dafa practitioners can achieve anything with their mind intent. Fellow practitioners, let's strive forward diligently, give up all attachments, and never be confused by illusions created by the evil. Everything is in the control of Teacher.
