Her Home to Avoid Illegal Detention; Her Husband Dies as a Result of the
Constant Harassment and Fear
Wang Lixin's husband, Gao Guangdong, was placed under great pressure. Li
Zhuoshun, director of the police substation in Changqing Township, and Cao
Wenbin, a policeman, frequently harassed and threatened him at home. Gao
Guangdong was especially threatened and harassed during the time of his wife's
absence. Wang Lixin was forced to leave her home in order to avoid persecution.
The police even tried to harass their child at school. They deliberately spread
the news that Gao should spend some money to settle this issue. Gao Guangdong
became ill due to fear and intense pressure. He became afraid of any sound such
as a knock on the door, a telephone ring, sound of a car or police siren etc. On Oct. 28, Gao Guangdong became seriously ill and was sent to the hospital
for emergency treatment. He died in the hospital. He left the world worried for
his family members, with grief and indignation.

[Beijing] Jiang's Regime Carries Out Policy of Terror
During the 16th Party Congress, every city was asked to pay
Beijing 50,000 Yuan as a "fine" [equal to eight years' average income of an
ordinary worker in China] for each of its residents who went to Beijing to
appeal. Anyone capturing three Falun Gong practitioners on a train would be
given a 3rd level award. Whoever captured one Falun Gong practitioner
would receive a 1000 Yuan award.
[Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Xu Jiting Is
Illegally Sentenced to Seven Years in Prison
Falun Dafa practitioner, Xu Jiting, was captured in the Xihu Area of Nanchang
City, Jiangxi Province. He was illegally sentenced to seven years in prison.
Currently, he is being detained in the fourth cell area of Nanchang Prison. He
is forced to work for over ten hours a day.
[Jinxi City, Liaoning Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Gu Changqin Is
Captured And Tortured
Gu Changqin, the former head assistant of Jinxi Falun Gong Assistance Center,
was captured in May 2002. She is detained in the No. 2 Detention Center. She has
been on hunger strike for a long time and has been force-fed many times.
In November, several police cars from the municipal police department and the
"610 Office" sent Gu Changqin to the No. 2 Hospital in the city to be force-fed.
At that time, plainclothes policemen could be seen everywhere in the hospital.
Gu Changqin, out of her great compassion, clarified the truth to the policemen.
Due to her resistance to force-feeding, she was taken away. Nobody knows where
she is now being detained.
Gu Changqin, 47 years old, obtained the Fa in 1994. Since May 2002, she has
been on hunger strike until November. She has lost weight and become extremely
weak due to the hunger strike. However, the vicious thugs still sentenced her to
forced labor camp. Because of her poor health condition, the forced labor camp
didn't accept her.
We hope that all practitioners who have seen this news can help send forth
righteous thoughts. We hope that all people who have a sense of justice and
conscience will pay attention to her situation and the persecution of Falun
Gong.
[Changchun City, Jilin Province] The Municipal Government Plans to
Restructure Rent Policies in Order to Illegally Capture Homeless Falun Gong
Practitioners
Presently, a meeting has been held in Changchun City to change the rent
policies. The municipal Party Committee and government decided that from
November 21, 2002 to the end of June 2003, a special citywide action would occur
in Changchun City to reorganize and improve the rent situation. The action will
be divided into two stages.
The first stage (from November 21, 2002 to January 20, 2003) focuses on
reorganizing the renting of houses. The second stage (from January to June 2003)
focuses on establishing an effective long-term administrative system. Therefore,
the municipal Party Committee and government specially worked out a "centralized
working plan to restructure the rent policies in Changchun City". It covers all
the urban districts, counties (small cities), towns and big townships. A
"three-in-one" related working system has been established, involving policemen
in charge of household registration, house-renting administrative personnel and
security cadres at the basic level. The municipal Party Committee and government
asked for a building-by-building, household-by-household, person-by-person
examination, registration and relevant procedures.
In the report, Falun Gong practitioner Zhou Runjun, who is accused of
broadcasting the Falun Gong program in Changchun's closed-circuit TV program, is
used as an example. The report points out that he rented a room in a residential
area at the Qingnian Road for half a year. This indicates that the policy and
report's purpose is to further persecute Falun Gong practitioners rather provide
any benefit to the public as was stated. This action involves not only the
public security system, but also many other departments to guarantee that every
person be examined by checking his ID card, residence booklet, or temporary
residence booklet, and other forms of identification. It is stressed that no
street and lanes, no household, no individual should be missed.
[Laixi City, Shandong Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Hu Keling Is
Suffering in The Mental Illness Section of The No. 2 People's Hospital
In late September 2002, the "610 Office" and her husband abducted Hu Keling
in Laixi City. She is currently being detained in the Mental Illness Section of
the No.2 People's Hospital in Laixi City, where she has been suffering both
physically and spiritually over fifty days. We, all the Falun Gong practitioners
from Laixi City, ask for immediate release of Hu Keling. We solemnly remind
people from the "610 Office" and the mental hospitals: Do not persecute Falun
Gong practitioners and attack Falun Dafa any more; otherwise, the consequences
will be disastrous. (The 610 Office is an agency specifically created to
persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in
the Party and all other political or judicial systems.)

[Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Five Falun Dafa Practitioners Are Captured
In early November, five Falun Dafa practitioners were captured and sent to a
hotel for brainwashing. The authorities threatened them that if they would not
give up Falun Gong, they would be sentenced to forced labor camp one month
later.
[Baoquanling City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Falun Dafa Practitioners Are
Captured
Zheng Guangzhen, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Jiamusi City, was captured in
Suibin Farm on September 12, and then she was secretly transferred to an
anonymous detention center. At that time, it was raining and cold. However, she
was not allowed to bring quilts and clothes with her. She was lifted up with a
rope and beaten. They didn't release her even though she couldn't breathe and
lost consciousness. Her hands had become numb ever since that incident.
Recently, she was transferred to the Baoquanling Detention Center and locked up
with criminals. She is not allowed to be in contact with other Falun Gong
practitioners. Her body has become swollen from the beatings and is in serious
condition. There are about thirty Falun Gong practitioners being detained in
Baoquanling Detention Center. It is known that these practitioners will be
transferred to another detention center soon.
Zheng Guangqin, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Baoquanling City, had to leave
her home for fear of illegal detention. At the time, over twenty policemen went
to her home and ransacked it. Even her bed was torn apart. Three policemen
stayed and ate at her home for a week. Her family members were affected as well.
Her brother and niece were dismissed from their jobs.
Dafa practitioner Zhao Hongrong, also from Baoquanling, was captured on the
same day.
[Yongnian County, Hebei Province] The "610 Office" Captures Many Falun Dafa
Practitioners
Before the 16th Party Congress, the "610 Office" in Yongnian
County instructed each township, working unit, and police substation to monitor,
follow and capture Falun Dafa practitioners. The practitioners' daily lives were
badly interfered with.
The following practitioners are still illegally detained:
Zhang Xiangling, female, is from Qumo Village. The Qumo Police Substation
forcibly searched her home and found some Dafa materials. She was thus sent to
the detention center. She has been on hunger strike over twenty days, and
refuses to yield to the evil though she had been force-fed with high
concentration salt water several times. We hope that people of goodwill can help
her.
Hao Zhishun, from Small Beiwang Village, was a bus driver at Yongnian East
Bus Station. He was highly regarded by his supervisors and colleagues for his
good work. Passengers liked to ride on the bus he drives, and they enjoyed
listening to him when he clarified the truth of Falun Dafa. On November 5, Hao
Zhishun was forcibly captured and detained by the Small Beiwang Township Police
Substation. He had been on hunger strike for nine days to protest against the
illegal detention.
Zhurong, whose last name is unknown, is from Baita Village. He was reported
and then captured by the police substation in Liuhan Township. He had been on
hunger strike for over ten days to protest against the illegal detention.
Li Hongqi is an employee from the No.1 Hospital in Yongnian County. Before
the National Day (Oct.1), he was forcibly abducted on his way back after he
bought some blank CDs in Shijiazhuang City. The thugs searched his home and took
away his computer, CD-writer and all the CDs.

Practitioners, About 200 Practitioners Are Captured in the Jiangxia Area
Before the 16th Party Congress, many Falun Dafa practitioners were
abducted at home for no reason. Many of them were carried to the police car.
Some practitioners were stopped by the thugs on their way to work, body
searched, and then captured and detained. The police abducted over ten
practitioners who went for a walk in Sheshan (a scenic spot) and clamored that
it was illegal to go to Sheshan. In the Jiangxia area alone, there were 200
Falun Dafa practitioners captured. They are presently detained in Wulijie in the
countryside. Many more practitioners' homes are closely monitored. They are
followed even when they go shopping at the flea market. Policemen and people
from the neighborhood committee frequently go to harass practitioners at home.
