Falun Gong Press Conference at the World Economic Forum

(Clearwisdom.net) January 31, New York City --áAt 11:30am, in order to help clarify the truth to the business community about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, practitioners held a press conferenceáin front of the Waldorf hotel in Midtown, Manhattanáwhere the World Economic Forum is currently taking place. Over 200 practitioners,áall wearing yellow Falun Dafa scarves, had been demonstrating the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts since the early morning.

A Canadian practitioner moderated the press conference. A New York Practitioner opened by making a statement on behalf of the Falun Dafa Information Center. Afterwards, Adam Montanaro read a statement on behalf of Italian practitioner andábusinessman, Alfredo Fava, who's flight was delayed and thus wasn't able to be present. Mr. Tan Yongjie then made his first public appearance and told his amazing story ofáhow he escapedáthe persecution in China and came to the U.S. Finally, Amy Lee told her story of being persecuted in China.

Around 30 differentálocal and international mediaáattendedáthe press conference and afterwardsáinterviewed the speakers as well as practitioners who were doing the exercises.

Practitioners will continue to demonstrate the exercises and hold candle light vigils outside the Waldorf Hotel through February 4th.
