(Clearwisdom.net) January 31, New York City -- At 11:30am, in order to help clarify the truth to the business community about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, practitioners held a press conference in front of the Waldorf hotel in Midtown, Manhattan where the World Economic Forum is currently taking place. Over 200 practitioners, all wearing yellow Falun Dafa scarves, had been demonstrating the exercises and sending forth righteous thoughts since the early morning.

A Canadian practitioner moderated the press conference. A New York Practitioner opened by making a statement on behalf of the Falun Dafa Information Center. Afterwards, Adam Montanaro read a statement on behalf of Italian practitioner and businessman, Alfredo Fava, who's flight was delayed and thus wasn't able to be present. Mr. Tan Yongjie then made his first public appearance and told his amazing story of how he escaped the persecution in China and came to the U.S. Finally, Amy Lee told her story of being persecuted in China.

Around 30 different local and international media attended the press conference and afterwards interviewed the speakers as well as practitioners who were doing the exercises.

Practitioners will continue to demonstrate the exercises and hold candle light vigils outside the Waldorf Hotel through February 4th.
