Some Xinjiang Dafa practitioners suggest that the "Waking of Insects" on the Chinese Lunar Calendar be established as "Xinjiang Falun Dafa Day." Turbulent thunder awakens all life from hibernation, signaling the birth of new lives and the beginning of a new era.

We propose that at 5, 6, 7 a.m. and 9, 10, 11 p.m. (Beijing time) on March 6, 2002 (Waking of Insects Day) Xinjiang practitioners and all the practitioners in China together send forth our purest, most unshakable righteous thoughts. This is to be responsible to all righteous beings in the universe, to resolutely crush all evil and eliminate all evil, to uphold the Fa, and at the same time use our boundless compassion, innate wisdom and all reasonable means necessary to clarify the truth and save all beings.
