Photo Report: Zhang Cuiying's Painting Exhibition in Kiev (Part 1)

The three-day exhibition of Zhang Cuiying's paintings in Kiev, Ukraine began on January 21, 2002. Many local people came to see the exhibition. They had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Chinese paintings as well as to find out about the brutal persecution happening in China. The audience was moved by Zhang Cuiying's courage and her firm belief. Many of them wanted to know more about Falun Dafa and went to the practice sites to learn it.

Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition	News Conference

Even before the opening ceremony of the exhibition, reporters had already crowded around Zhang Cuiying and started asking questions. At the news conference held at the same time as the opening ceremony, six TV stations came to do interviews, including three nationwide TV stations, one international TV station, and three local TV stations. There were also reporters from nearly 20 newspapers and radio stations coming to do on-site reports. At the press conference, Zhang Cuiying introduced her paintings and her experience of being tortured in the detention centers in China. After the news conference, reporters crowded around Zhang Cuiying again.

At the entrance of the exhibition, everyone in the audience could see the posters that showed the situation of Falun Dafa spreading all over the world and the truth about the evil persecution in China. Dafa practitioners also gave the audience some introductory materials on Falun Dafa as well as on the painter. The rows of cameras from the media inside the gallery made people feel that those paintings had attracted those cameras like magnets. It was obvious that the reporters were seeing the exhibition with joy and surprise.

That night, millions of Ukrainians got to know the truth on TV about what is occurring in China through Zhang Cuiying's presentation. It was also very important that Ukraine No. 1 National TV Station reported on the exhibit and revealed that Zhang Cuiying had been put in jail and tortured by Chinese authorities just because she practiced a system that helped her get rid of her illnesses and pains. The report also mentioned that Falun Gong is being persecuted in China and that the painter follows the Falun Gong principles of "Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance" in her daily conduct and that those principles are also manifested in her paintings.

As a result of this event, millions of Ukrainians now know that Falun Dafa is good!
