Doing Dafa Work with Rationality is Truly Being Responsible for the Fa

(Clearwisdom.net) According to reliable sources, personnel from the Heilongjiang Province Police Department were criticized in a high level government meeting for their lack of success in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. After being scolded by their superiors, these police officials utilized every means at their disposal to conduct a large-scale arrest of Dafa practitioners in Harbin City. They also destroyed many sites for producing truth-clarifying materials.

In this situation, we must clear-headedly realize our deficiencies from the perspective of Dafa. It's because we had a loophole in cultivation that the evil was able to take advantage of it. I would like to write down my understandings and discuss them with fellow practitioners.

Regarding the overall situation, it is not a matter of whether or not one has an attachment of fear, but rather whether or not one is being responsible for Dafa. Dafa practitioners shouldn't have an attachment of fear. Not having such an attachment does not mean to merely to say it from the human perspective, but instead it means, during cultivation, to truly, soberly and rationally solve any problem according to Dafa. When some practitioners said that they didn't have an attachment of fear, they were really free of concern for anything. When you told them to be careful and think about the overall situation of Dafa work, they would say that you are afraid. This is an impulsive, irrational statement driven by emotion and represents the attachment of zealotry. The lesson was profound, and it is most likely to be taken advantage of. It provides a direct, convenient loophole for the evil to persecute other practitioners.

Master said: "The desire to show off plus the attachment of zealotry are most easily exploited by the demonic part of your mind." ("Definitive Conclusion") We must be rational while doing Dafa work. Dafa disciples should bring forth lofty ideals while minding minor details and regard the overall situation of Fa-rectification and other practitioners' safety as most important at all times. However, some of us often bring forth lofty ideals but forget to mind minor details. As a result, a big loss has been brought to Dafa and Dafa practitioners. All of these were caused by failing to understand the Fa from the perspective of the Fa and not having strict requirements for ourselves.

Master Li further reminds us, "Under any circumstance, in any period, and no matter how busy you are with your work, you can't stray from your Fa-study, as this is what fundamentally ensures that you'll continue to improve and reach Consummation. You can't do Dafa work without studying the Fa, or it would be an everyday person doing Dafa work. It has to be Dafa disciples who do Dafa work - this is something required of all of you." (Lecture on the Fa at the Washington, D.C. International Conference, 2001)

Master also said, "When a cultivator's mind departs from the Fa, the evil will find its way in." (Fa-Lecture at the Conference in Florida, USA; December 2001)

We must be diligent and look to the Fa at all times, in order to prevent the evil from reaching us. Once our righteous thoughts are sent forth, the evil would be eliminated. If we cannot rationally understand the Fa based on the Fa and find the deficiencies inside ourselves, the evil will persecute us by taking advantage of our attachments. By searching inward, all attachments will be removed, and then all evil would be eliminated.

When doing Dafa work, we must "Validate the Fa with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence." ("Rationality")
