A fellow practitioner's husband does not practice Falun Gong, but he understands that Dafa is very good and always helps out with truth-clarification. For example, when he heard other people talking about the fabricated stories on TV, he spoke to them very seriously: "Do not believe what is being shown on TV, such as self-immolations or killing parents--they are all deceptions, targeted at those who don't understand Falun Gong. I have read the Dafa books. They teach people to be good, to do good deeds and value Virtue. The teachings prohibit killing, and Falun Gong practitioners would absolutely not do what was made up and shown on TV." He then talked about how people close to him became very healthy and very moral after practicing Falun Gong. The people that heard him were convinced by his sincerity.

From him I realized that for us to clarify the truth and be good people, it is very important to start with ourselves. When we show our true natures at home, our family members understand us, and as a result understand Dafa. Without noticing, they help us to clarify the truth as well.

Our family members are the direct beneficiaries of Dafa, as well as victims of the evils' persecution after July 20, 1999 [when the Chinese government outlawed Falun Gong]. They have witnessed practitioners becoming healthy and demonstrating high moral standards. They too can speak. Therefore, guiding our non-practitioner family members to clarify the truth to those who know only the propaganda is very important. They are also lives created by Dafa, and their helping to safeguard the Fa will allow them to position themselves better in the future.
