By a Falun Dafa Practitioner in New York

(Clearwisom.net) From January 31, 2002 to February 4, 2002, at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan New York, there gathered commercial and political VIPs from all over the world who came to attend the World Economic Forum. They included government leaders from different countries, CEO's of Fortune 500 companies, entrepreneurs, and many famous Non-Government Organization representatives. It was the duty of Dafa practitioners who came all over the world to clarify the truth and promote Dafa to them. Dafa practitioners left a deep impression on those who attended the World Economic Forum. The international VIPs who know about the truth of Dafa were filled with admiration and respect. Here are some of the stories from Manhattan.

CEO of a big company: "'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' is very good."

The CEO of a large corporation ran into a Dafa practitioner by chance. He had little knowledge about Falun Gong. His understanding of the Tiananmen self-immolation incident came from the incomplete reports of the Chinese and Western media. The practitioners revealed to him that Jiang and Luo staged the self-immolation incident, and he was very surprised. He asked the practitioner to spell the name of Luo in both Chinese and English, already familiar with Jiang. He marked down this name and asked the practitioners to e-mail him the Amnesty International Report with regards to China's so-called laws to persecute Falun Gong. He asked the practitioner to keep in touch with him. He said that he knew quite a lot of CEO's of other companies that invest in China and many Chinese government officials, and he would give them the information he had obtained.

One of the topics of the World Economic Forum was the issue of security for the buildings and anti-terrorism plans. The practitioner told this CEO, "The world needs 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance,' the universal principle." He replied, "'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' is very good."

A Financial Minister: " I feel sympathetic for the situation of Falun Gong"

One night during the World Economic Forum, a famous financial company hosted a party at Waldorf-Astoria Hotel. Some practitioners felt it was a very good chance to clarify the truth, so they went to join the party.

On the elevator, the practitioners met by chance a Financial Minister who left the party early. When he heard that hundreds of thousands of practitioners were sent to forced labor camps just because they practiced Falun Gong, he was shocked. He said, "I feel sympathetic for the situation of Falun Gong." The practitioner told him about the present human rights and social situation in China, and pointed out that "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance" is the only way to solve the social problems in China. This minister then left his business card with this practitioner for further contact.

A practitioner tells member of a rich and powerful family, "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is the only hope for humanity."

A practitioner met a member of a rich and powerful family from South America. The practitioner told him about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. He replied, "No one should be tortured." He thought that human beings should have compassion. The practitioner told him, " We believe in Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance."

At this moment, his cousin, an entrepreneur, also joined them in their talk. He accepted the truth-clarifying materials and said that he could empathize with the persecution situation of Falun Gong. Afterwards, he mentioned that he was very interested in Chinese culture. The practitioner told him, "Falun Dafa originated from ancient Chinese culture and is the hope for humanity."

A Health Minister: "Falun Gong is very important"

A practitioner met the Health Minister of a country and gave him a package of Dafa truth-clarifying materials. The practitioner also exposed to him the state terrorism that China is adopting in persecuting Falun Gong. The minister said, "The Falun Gong situation is very important. We hear statements from only one of the parties." This minister left his business card and e-mail to the practitioners and invited cordially the practitioner to contact him when he visits his country.

CEO of a large American company: " I truly believe Falun Gong is good."

A practitioner who was waiting for the traffic light found himself beside the CEO of a large American company and his assistant. The practitioner introduced himself and mentioned Falun Gong. The CEO said that he knew about Falun Gong, and the practitioner gave him the truth-clarifying materials. At first, he said that he did not have time to read the materials. His assistant accepted the materials and said, "I assure you that I will have him read these materials." At this moment, the CEO said, "I truly believe that Falun Gong is good." The practitioner said, "Thank you. It would be very good if you can clarify the truth of Falun Gong to Chinese people." The CEO answered, " I will."

Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Industrial Minister happily accept truth-clarifying materials

One practitioner met the Canadian Deputy Prime Minister and Industrial Minister twice. The practitioner said, "Thanks to the Canadian government for supporting Falun Dafa. Thanks to the Canadian government for rescuing the Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally detained by Jiang's regime. We hope that the Canadian government will continue to uphold justice and support Falun Gong." The Deputy Prime Minister and Industrial Minister accepted the truth-clarifying information package with a smile.

Policemen on duty: "You are the most orderly and peaceful group of people."

The area around the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel was heavily guarded around the clock. All the main streets were blocked . The policemen had a very favorable impression of Faun Gong practitioners. Whenever they saw the yellow scarves sewn with "Falun Dafa" and 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance' or the symbol of Falun Gong, or if we stated that we were Falun Gong practitioners, they would let us pass. Some policemen even accompanied the practitioners to the designated places for Falun Gong activities.

A group of practitioners met some policemen in a coffee shop. The policemen asked them, "Are you Falun Gong practitioners? We believe that you are the most orderly and peaceful group of people. We wish all the organizations were just like you." The policemen then shook hands with the practitioners one after another.

The practitioners left a very good impression on the New York policemen. The policemen responsible for granting permits told the practitioners, "You are as good as your words. You follow what you say in the application and never break your promise. The security of this World Economic Forum is especially important. When we had a meeting, someone mentioned security for Falun Gong activities. I said that Falun Gong practitioners are so good that we don't even need to worry about them."

Dafa has greatly inspired the representatives and guests of the World Economic Forum to acknowledge and support Falun Gong.
